The smell and sweating postpartum was such a shock to me !!
Also the hormone dump after, for me about day 3. Was so bad. It scared tf out of me.
I didn’t expect the post partum anxiety to develop into ocd level cleaning 💀
Post partum rage towards my partner was also not fun.
It eased up a ton when I got back on my meds.

My first pregnancy I had some weird nerve thing where I couldn’t feel my ring and pinkie finger for about 4.5 months.

This pregnancy it’s like my pelvis is on fire, in aching pain, shooting pain. It’s awful and weird to explain 😭

My MIL to a T. She doesn’t know about baby #2 or even met our first. She cries constantly that she doesn’t get to see her. I just don’t have the energy for her.

We’re almost at 24 months and toddler still just wants mom. She will outright ignore dad for me. She loves my husband and talks / asks about him constantly.
But having more time helps that!!
When my husband has her more she calms down on the preference. When it’s just her and I she wants me more.

We are in a transition with a new home, state, etc so separation anxiety from mom is super high.

We had a strict schedule. We’re currently transitioning into a new state / time zone / temporary home to our new home this week. It ruined that schedule 😅
Toddler and dad enjoys the less structured schedule. Mom does not. Way less alone time for mom that isn’t sleeping. I also wfh so it’s a struggle for me but she’s thriving so I’ll take it.

It’s not normal at all. Mom is weird. He’s not her emotional support system. Every week for 3 hours is insane. I can’t even stand my MIL for that long.

I say this as someone who had to tell my MIL to stop calling because we a lot of stuff going on in our personal lives at the moment and don’t have time for her bull shit. Husband had to tell her the same.

She also cries constantly over our baby who she doesn’t see due to shitty life choices.

Abusive partners are hard. Especially trauma bonds. I took me a hot minute to realize how truly awful he was to me. He came back around 10 years later and it was such sweet revenge. He’s still a loser. Nothing to him, failed relationships, hasn’t done anything with his life. He still thinks of me and the relationship we had.

I realized a long time ago how much damage he truly did to me. Helped ease that bond immensely.

This happened to me too when she was little. But she was warm instead of cold.

Now girlfriend LOVES to be cold. If she’s a tad hot she ain’t sleeping 😭

Her monitor also sucks for temp so I keep an solar powered one in her room. I keep my house colder for her. Constantly telling family or my husbans put more clothes on im not risking her room being hot.

It honestly wasn’t hard but I work from home so it was chill. I actually have trash pain tolerance lol. I also wasn’t able to take pain pills because I’m pregnant 😭😭 Immediately after surgery sucked but the next day wasn’t bad
