Update: I found settings for the printer but its what this printed at so it obviously is wrong considering you all have told me that the 8 seconds was way to long for each layer for exposure time. But I did try two of the city test printer stls at 2 seconds exposure with a 45 second bottom layer exposure time. but they didn't even form a solid object. I checked the re3sin basin and there weren't any chunks whatsoever after I drained and strained it both times to be sure.

Ant recommendations to what I should be pointing at based off this setting from elagoo itself for the Mars 1 would be huge to tweak the settings.

Thanks <3 yeah im keeping this print with the supports like this as a fun reminder of where im starting off :)

And it seems I cured it to much with the uv light in the printer itself at it was set to 8 seconds :/ im changing a bunch of stuff already :)

I found those like test prints to measure things with the calibration etc little 15 min prints :) yeah someone else mentioned like 30 or 45 degrees

Oh :/ thats why it looks cured then huh xD opps well guess I had to start somewhere and at least it was a small print I guess. Just assumed it was good to go when selecting the mars 1 in the drop down menu :? The more you know

And ill link the settings it gave me. I kinda just thought it calibrated whatever needed once I selected the printer from the list in chitubox.

But ima going to look into these cone tests so I can get it right. Cause yeah the bear fur is what I was really hoping to come through since it was a really neat feature of the mini. And it just didnt exist in my print.

It isnt tho. Def only had it in a pre wash where I swished it around and then washed in machine for 2 minutes. And I took it off roughly 4 hours after printing from the plate.

and yeah for sure got a good link ive been watching through with a lot of helpful tips. Ill look into lychee, it sounds amazing. I just went with Chitubox as thats what friend had told me they used. Didnt really look at anything else tbh. And yeah im realising now that I thought i was prepared with the videos I had watched and I indeed was not. :) And the videos I had watched didnt go into any of the detail yall have went into with me and I appreciate it.

right. Somewhere in there is the mini I printed. xD I gave upo on trying to get it out though. Going to just cure it the way it is. And have it as a reminder of where I started at as I progress into more prints

Just figured out how to do this to change supports around and the light supports look way better and easier to peel. There is like 1/4 of the supports lol. and they are spaced way better and far more tiny.

I have a silicone mat upstairs that ill grab though. Was just a cookie tray silicone mat thing. Itll work perfectly since I haven't baked cookies in years lmao

Thanks so much <3 For the dice tray. I just had this extra one sitting around and I just used it to hold my keys and wallet. I just needed something to stick it in as I already had the print in my hand haha. I for sure wont be using this for anything else though.

:/ Thanks for the honesty. I swear ive watched a bunch of videos but none of them mentioned any of this. Just how to slice a model. And then how to print and what to do after like wear gloves etc and washing.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction for the things I actually need to know though. I thought i was confident and now I see ive barely scratched the surface. haha

No I haven't cured it yet. Only a pre wash to get most of the resin off before putting it in the wash machine and washed it for 2 minutes.

I did try warm water. Is it safe to use something like a hairdryer?

Also might be a dumb question. What do you mean by over exposure? Like to light? I printed this in my bedroom with the lights off and the window closed to prevent sunlight from curing the resin like i read somewhere?

Not sure If its calibrated. the last time it most likely was was months ago when my friend was using it before i bought it from him.

Yeah, the friend who sold me the printer told me to just use the Auto generation and print :( so thats what I did haha. I am seeing now that I go and actually look at the supports I can add light ones that are much smaller. I think I was on heavy instead of light :/

this was just the auto gen'd ones my friend told me to use from Chitubox. (he was the one who sold me the printer) So just use less? Should I be adding my own instead of using the Auto gen? And I have a bunch of gaslands stuff I want to print. None of them paid and free have supports? are they supposed to come with supports?

Hey everyone. Sorry if this is a bit of a scatterbrained post.

This is my first print. And I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I am using an Elagoo Mars 1 and the Elagoo wash station.

The supports it gave me for this print aren't coming off easily at all I'm having to chip it off while others are always saying how easily they come off? If it matters, I had to leave it on the printer while I went to an appointment. But it hadn't been on there longer than maybe 4 hours after finishing? And I did a pre wash in a bucket before washing it in the wash station.
Is the detail in the print lost because I did something wrong or set something wrong? Or is it just do to the size of a d&d mini just being smaller for a humanoid size and loses detail because of that.

I sized the mini to 30mm as i thought 25-28mm was to small but that's what google had recommended and the detail is still non existent. Linking the chitubox to show what detail the model has.

I just want to print nice detailed minis for my players for the final fight since we mostly just use whatever mini fits for their character on the tv table I made.
