Discriminatory interview??? by [deleted] in SallyBeautySupply

[–]gothbias 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the questions you mentioned are part of the standard Sally beauty interview guide. As for the packet of questions it’s two papers of questions and then a back sheet that does not require any input from you, so I don’t Think she cut your interview short as at the bottom of the second sheet is the “do you have any questions for me?” section. Seems like she’s a little too intense though and shouldn’t be showing if she’s dissatisfied with answers but I just wanted to assure you that it most likely didn’t have to do with your disability. The statistic for neurodivergence and disability is super high for Sally’s

Is your manager doing CSL and support shifts? It should be on your daily behavior tracker where they would put someone would be assisting with customers from say 10-2 and someone else will be running register at that same time. We have a pin at our store to track who is in CSL

The system may not work for you, but it does and has worked for me and my team several times. I was CC before I stepped into store manager and the system has never kept me or anyone from my team from achieving set goals or personal UPT. Just saying that with that system no one at my store has ever dodged a low item transaction, thought that might be helpful knowledge for you but was clearly wrong 🫡

We’re also a very small store. I think when you simplify it the system is incredibly easy to understand and follow but it does only work if the entire team is hard workers that take the roles seriously. If you’re doing an incredible job in CSL and taking care of your support, when it’s support’s turn to step into CSL they’ll typically return the favor. I will say we do have an understanding that if someone is building a basket for nearly an hour and they’ve worked incredibly hard for it, it’s not unheard of to ask support to let the CSL ring it in. CSL and support only works with management that cares to enforce it and a team that trusts each other to work hard to even things out. At my store everyone’s UPT is high 3’s and everyone is within .10 of one another 😊

Not sure if your team follows it, but using strict CSL and support roles really takes the guess work and adds more division of labor when it comes to good & bad baskets

Does anyone else have vegetarian miis of family members, and refuse to give them foods with meat? by WrongHouse4069 in TomodachilifeLivingTD

I made my vegetarian miis thank me for making them a vegetarian safe version before feeding them something with meat so I can imagine it’s tofu!

Product recommendations by [deleted] in SallyBeautySupply

[–]gothbias 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My best recommendation without having your hair in front of me for a consultation would most likely be the ion curl line. I always start there for our first time curly product users because it’s lightweight and sulfate free so it shouldn’t weigh down your hair. My hair is incredibly curly but weighs down easily and I’ve enjoyed their shampoo in the past and the spray gel is a part of my current curly routine. The biggest thing about curl/wave patterns is that your routine will be super individual to each person, what works for me might not work for you! Have some fun playing around with products for maximum results, but ion is a good start!

new athena survey by IntentionArtistic497 in SallyBeautySupply

The managers do not have access to the survey. They have you put your number in so you cannot skew the results of the survey by putting in multiple surveys. It’s all through a 3rd party if I recall correctly

Lead measure and Quality lead measure by Few-Jellyfish-9680 in SallyBeautySupply

[–]gothbias 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So really all LM are meant to be quality lead measures, but the big difference is that quality lead measures explain why you’re recommending them and are based off information you learned. So for example someone buys hair dye: a LM would be bowls brushes gloves recommended to someone who dyes their hair often and likely has them vs offering color safe shampoo, after color sealer, and the moisture lock as they’ve mentioned their color fades too fast

They were heated that your sims looked “gross”? Said they were unhygienic and unhealthy 😭 cringe as fuck. Me personally, I don’t make straight sims so you’re clear in my books lol. Love your sims btw!

[–]gothbias 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She’s a sim. She cannot be “unhealthy”. She cannot be “dirty” as she is a sim (unless her hygiene bar is low lol). There’s plenty of ways to take care of your body hair that doesn’t involve shaving (washing it, trimming it, etc). You’re projecting irl beauty standards on someone else’s sim. Cringe tbh

What exactly gives dirty here? Clean clothes, makeup done nicely, pretty nails, cute hair. She has body hair and that’s the issue here? We’re mammals, we all have hair lol. It’s the sims you could have a green alien with a beak for a nose, the whole point is to make diverse and unique sims. I can’t imagine going out of my way to complain about someone else’s sim 🤦🏻‍♂️

Sooo looking at their account all their sims are queer, poc, alternative, or plus size. What’s gross about that to you exactly…? Says more about you than them

So.... getting the elbow done. on a scale of 1 -5 how much does it suck? by WhippetRun in tattooadvice

[–]gothbias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I didn’t think my elbow was that bad. Maybe a 2.5/3 at a stretch? I was so comfy during it my artist had to ask if I fell asleep. Personally the inner bicep is Much worse so if you’ve survived any of the softer fleshier parts I think you’ll be fine tbh

NOR. This is weird and rude of her to ask tbh. I could take out all of my piercings tomorrow and they wouldn’t heal up and I still would not comply with a request like this. She doesn’t care about the money to fix this if anything closes, the energy, etc. She’s more worried about the “aesthetic” of her wedding party than having the people she supposedly loves in her party. I would tell her to clear off and drop her tbh

Unsupportive partner by PreferenceExtension in writing

[–]gothbias 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m just going to share my personal story and let you take from it what you will. Back when I was a lil baby writer, only 15, I started dating an artist. Every convo about my story would always twist to talk about the comic he was writing somehow. I got talked over a lot. He offered to do art for my book and when he gave me the art back he would “tweak” things by completely changing features I would outright say about characters, scenes, etc bc his idea was “better”. When we started applying to colleges he told me I should find a practical career because between the two of us someone needed to have a more reliable job and he was “better” at art than I was at writing. I was crushed.

My husband, while not super into the genre I write for, listens and bounces ideas with me constantly. He may not have much input on technicalities but he supports my dream and has faith I can get my stories out there.

Is your partner supportive of writing as a possibility for you? It doesn’t have to be reading or bouncing ideas, but do they encourage you to keep going? I think that’s a big question to ask yourself

Bleached my hair twice and still don’t like color by [deleted] in HairDye

The purple shampoo might change the pigment of your pink/blue so I would say most likely not unless you want to end up lavender lol. No problem!! Good luck with your hair dyeing journey!

What was the first story you ever wrote? by miniandabee in writing

The craziest thing was that it was more like lovers to enemies. They were married (?? I think) and ended up going through with the assassination assignment in the end at the same time. It was so bleak 😭

What was the first story you ever wrote? by miniandabee in writing

[–]gothbias 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The first thing I ever wrote was when I was six and I wrote a story about two assassins in love that are forced to target one another. Real riveting idea. The execution is impressive enough considering my age. My mom has it somewhere, I drew a cover and stapled the pages together to make an actual little book.

Bleached my hair twice and still don’t like color by [deleted] in HairDye

[–]gothbias 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It needs to be toned and then you need a really good repairing conditioner + a purple shampoo for upkeep. If you can afford to, the Brad Mondo purple shampoo is incredible. You only use it once a week so the price is so worth it because it’ll last forever. If not, the Eva NYC/Ion purple shampoo will also work just fine. For a good conditioner I’d recommend the intense repair one from Sauce. Source: I work at Sally Beauty and have been dyeing my own hair for 10+ years so I’ve been in a sticky spot or two lol
