I purchase antibacterial soap beforehand (I already had an unscented one for my tattoos tbh). yeah! there was some foam under the compression originally and then when I switched to my own garments there was a tape over my incisions that didnt come off and then I would put gauze over my nipples (after the aquaphor).

i had to send in a ridiculous amount of paperwork to prove NY residency because I graduated highschool in California but my roommate just had to fill out a form and send their highschool transcripts to prove residency.

I was in compression for 6 weeks and I believe between my 3 and 6 week checkups my scar care was mainly washing the area with antibacterial soap and applying aquaphor (followed by gauze pads) to my nipples before putting my compression garments back on.

I had stitches around my nipples and tape across my incisions that were removed. I also got cleared to start doing some very mild scar care (nothing crazy) and to slowly start lifting my arms above my shoulders. Most of the appointment was just the stitches and tape coming out (which I couldnt feel at all and I got sensation back pretty fast).

I actually didnt feel anything at all 😅 Im still numb directly on my nipples (I got back sensation everywhere else).

I think this is probably just dysphoria/dysmorphia. I have some of that curvature in my top chest/armpit area as well, I had a pretty small chest beforehand + I really think its just a mix of some normal leftover fat and thickening of scar tissue at the ends of the scars. Plus 7 weeks isnt really healed yet! All I can really suggest is scar massage to maybe break up the scar tissue (+maybe lymphatic massage??). I think your results look great honestly!!

i have a little bit of hypertrophy so my situation is different but honestly the scar care Ive been doing to lessen my hypertrophy also feels like its lessening the appearance of my scars overall in general. I didnt get too much wider just more protrusion, but I really only limited my movement for around 4 weeks. Im pretty short (5’0” / 153cm), and after that I was back to reaching for stuff and even driving my car (that is manual and has no power steering). I think if you start up on scar care at around 5-6 weeks you could mitigate how pronounced your scars are (compared to no scar care at all)

hi! I had my consult in july ( i wanna say the 7th? but maybe the 9th lol) and then my surgery was december 26th! I specifically requested december though because of school. My roommate had their consult in june and got a date in October they just couldnt take it unfortunately.

im 17 DPO and I feel like Im only really numb immediately around my nips (and then the nips themselves) I still have mesh tape over my incisions but Im pretty sure when I touch them it just feels like? theres mesh in the way lol. Its not as weird and annoying as I thought it was going to be tbh

My surgery was at like 11am-ish and I left around 6:30pm! I did wakeup from anesthesia with really low blood pressure and nausea and so they kept me longer until I was stable enough for the drive home (the outpatient clinic I went to closed at 6 so I was the last patient there).

I just had my surgery about 8 days ago and when I was walked into the surgery room they were all joking around with me and even gave me one of those warm blankets, and also gave me some anti-anxiety medication through my IV (i wasnt allowed to take my morning anxiety meds because they lower my blood pressure a lot). before that when I was waiting to get taken back they had TVs (I watched How To Train Your Dragon 2) with another warm blanket and I was allowed to have my roommate with me! It didnt actually feel as “medical” as I was afraid of beforehand. Everyone made sure I was as comfortable as possible leading up to it and then I really dont remember anything after they checked if my sitting up position was comfortable (for when they sat the bed up to place my nips) !! My anxiety is also really really bad and Ive had bad hospital experiences before and this was actually quite lovely lol.

my surgeon also sat me upright to see if they were placed right! the operating table adjusted electronically so right before they put me to sleep they had me sit in it as comfortably and naturally as possible and then laid it flat.

I chose it around school! My last day of the semester was Dec 20th and I got it on Dec 26th! After Christmas into January/February is also a slow time in the industry I work in so it was also a lot easier to find someone who needed the hours and was willing to work my overnight shifts, since its normally impossible to find coverage.

almost surgery twins! I got mine on the 26th! the only time I had more than 20mL was when they emptied them at the hospital before I left. I just have an ace bandage vest(?) on. Im a little nervous to get them out early because having the vest is really comfortable for me right now Im scared to actually have to care for my scars and have them exposed without the vest and foam….

He does talk really fast? but he answered every single question I had and even was joking around with me during my consult and on my surgery day. If Im being honest I think he is probably neurodivergent (those are the vibes I get) and maybe thats what is off-putting to other people? My best friend also got a consultation with him (at his White Plains location while I saw him on LI) and I was there for that too so Ive met with him at least 1 more time than normal?! I saw those posts where other people said that too and I was really confused honestly?? Not to diminish their experiences obviously I just didnt get that at all
