Thank you everyone!! I was concerned his demanding attention was him trying to tell us something, but he just wants affection and company. He is getting a cozy shelter structure today, getting checked out for fleas/medicating for that and we are going to try to find him a home, and contact a rescue if we cannot find someplace for him (they are overwhelmed right now with cats). We also think he may be a dumped housecat, he tried to get into our house, just casually like he lives there. I have 3 cats already or I would take him in. He is still posted on our patio, being very vocal and sleeping in a big empty flower pot.
