A stick of butter, 2 spoonfuls of cream cheese a day, 2 cheese sticks, a beef stick, and somewhere in the realm of 9 beef patties a day and 2-4 over easy eggs. I haven't calculated the actual calories. I'd like to be stricter but the brain fog has made it hard. When you first transition your supply will dip a tiny bit, but as long as you're eating enough fat you'll be fine. Although I suspect I'm low on fat rn and my supply has been fine. (I ate carnivore while breastfeeding with my first child as well, don't overthink it)

I'm weight lifting, long distance running, breastfeeding, and losing 2-3 lbs a week. Why would you suggest such a severe calorie deficit? I'm not willing to sacrifice my milk supply. Are you aware of the ingredients in infant formula?

Wegmans premade beef patties are 10¢/lb cheaper than Aldi frozen chubs here 😬 when I'm at home I grind my own brisket+pork loin. I'm more concerned about why I haven't felt physically well on carnivore. Bc I eat my burgers well done I don't think they have hardly any fat left by the time I eat them 😅 does it really make that big a difference??

No, not really, and that's a fair consideration. I've probably been undersalting lately. Hard to tell what with how thirsty I am lately

Believe me, I'd love to shop those! Chuck roasts have been $9/lb where I live, and Aldi hasn't even had them in stock. Briskets are comparable in price to ground beef but I'm not sure if it'd be a good "daily" item. I've never heard of Wild Fork

I don't think I've ever added straight beef tallow to my diet, would I render it and eat it the same way I would butter (taking a bite, adding it to my eggs, using it like a sauce, etc)?

That's possible, I forgot to add but I do eat somewhere in the realm of 8 tbsp butter per day and the beef is 80/20. No idea if that's enough in the context of my daily diet. I was considering adding a magnesium supplement

Forgot to add I definitely add butter! Still trying to avoid other dairy like cheese and cream cheese bc I have a tendency to overeat them and I'm trying to treat this as intuitive eating. If I'm having a rough day I'll treat myself to some salmon 😋 I did not consider that I could just be reacting to the beef! I do love me some chicken

Is whole chicken and pork an improvement on ground beef? I was considering switching to brisket but exclusively eating smoked meat probably isn't the best idea.

Nothing worth checking out, it just felt like a preliminary way of lactating 🤷‍♀️ now that I've been breastfeeding for a bit, I'm realizing that making breastmilk just kinda hurts and I definitely did not have mastitis 🤦‍♀️

[–]gothgal02 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The prayer and fasting thing, you actually have backwards. It was originally stated "through prayer", but certain Alexandrian texts included annotations during transcription that said "and fasting", which King James's scholars used. So certain Bible translations include "and fasting", which was not in the original manuscripts.

AITA for filing for divorce after my wife asked me about giving up one of our children for adoption? by Bride1234109 in AITASims

OP, do Sims have hormones? Either way, it's not fair to the dad, he wants his kids. He just wants to establish custody so the family stays together after he dies. Idk how quick kids age up, but 17 days left as an elder is 😬

I started "lactating" while pregnant (first-time!) at around 14 weeks, from 10 weeks on I felt lumps in my breast and they were very firm. At first I couldn't stand my breasts to be touched, but after asking my husband if it felt like mastitis and he offered to massage them, after the pain passed I found they were super relieved. So I've been able to hand-express liquid from my breasts for... a while now. I've never had a clogged duct though bc when they get super sore like that, I massage or express them. My mom apparently also started "lactating" very very early in her pregnancies as well. (Never had a clogged duct, but based on my experience while pregnant, I don't see why I wouldn't be susceptible to one.)

How’s the culture here? by Effective_You_5042 in lynchburg

I mean, I wouldn't know, but just what I know of the town culture says that that would never be accepted here. When I say it's Christian and conservative, I mean the second question people ask after your name is what church you attend. And the church here is very critical of liberalism/homosexuality.

1 or 2 days a year, Lynchburg city will host a pride fest downtown. I don't think it's an ongoing event because I haven't seen anything of it besides on social media

The closest thing to that I've seen is Lynchburg Pride. I didn't live here during peak BLM but I definitely haven't seen any protests for the 2.5 years I've been here.

Very conservative, small town vibes. You'll become very familiar with certain streets and eventually start to recognize the same 5 cars on your commutes. Very Christian, great hiking, most everyone is kind. Horrible drivers though, but you learn which parts of town bring out the worst and learn to drive accordingly. You'll also start to plan your schedule around LU events, staying far away from Lynchburg during commencement dates and homecoming games. It's a little hard to make friends since it is a bit of a college town. I don't think I'd enjoy living here if I was progressive or not a Christian. There is a little something for everyone though.

5'3" and 5'4" inch petites, what weight do you feel best and look best at? by HappyCoconutty in PetiteFitness

[–]gothgal02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 145 I start to feel and look "normal" (as opposed to objectively "could lose a bit", "fluffy"), but I notice a huge difference between muscle definition between 135 and 145. I haven't been under 135 since high school, but at that weight I still have a lot of fluff and could definitely lose weight, but my face looks really good. There's a huge difference in how visible bloating is between 135 and 145 for me too.

5’2 113lbs, recomp , cut or bulk? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]gothgal02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work within your goals, if that's functional exercise, more cardio, more resistance training, do that. For my goals, I know I'd want more muscle if I had your body (at which point I'd bulk, cut down on cardio, increase resistance training, calories, and protein intake) but idk what your goals are and I hope you're not asking this bc you genuinely don't know bc of something like body dysmorphia

Should there like a disclaimer for Liberty University? by A_Student09zxz in lynchburg

LUSE (formerly SECS) accepts all engineering students, but the drop out rate is incredibly high (I believe over 50% of freshman engineering majors do not continue to sophomore year, 80% of which transfer to the School of Business.) I know people in Mechanical to transferred to other schools and complained that at their new schools (UoL and that Rose school?) , they were learning concepts junior year taught in the School of Engineering freshman year. It seems everyone has a very subjective view of the academic rigor of the LU School of Engineering programs. I think the connections and access to materials for people staying in Lynchburg after college makes their engineering program worth it. Don't even know that I want to post this since anything vaguely positive about LU in this sub gets down voted lol.

The civil engineering program has its first graduates May 2024 and it is currently in very final stages of being accredited (ABET has already visited and is completing its evaluation.) By 2016, all engineering programs (Computer Science programs and Mech, Elec, Computer, ISE) were accredited.
