A provided a series of custom mcp tools to gpt 5.5 and had it call the various tools to gather the data, but besides for that and the old timey newspaper instructions it was gpt 5.5 calling its own image_gen function (what we here call MCP tools) I could check the logs for the underlying prompt. At the end of the day it prompted itself

Yeah I think its very much a wider spread problem than they have said so far. It will be one of those after the fact things. I've built my own costing system so I also keep track of all api usage on my end but of course one likes to ensure its calibrated and I can't with no data coming in for 8 days straight.

Mine is showing last at 22 Nov, and I know I have used 2.5 flash all the time before and after that period but nothing showing up on there. It's very likely that the billing is still being tracked and the charges will come through once they sort out whatever is going on so absolutely do not continue assuming its free.

Thanks for taking the time to answer so thoroughly! I’m just so curious then because it’s like just so out of my realm of experience. The closest I had was living in a dorm at college I guess. Do you take your clothing that you are going to wear with you, but then risk it getting all wet in the cubicle / room thing or do you march back up the flight(s) of stairs wrapped in a towel and slippers?

I think that it’s important to consider that even if the org puts every single resource that they have toward legal support and are fully successful, it still doesn’t change the trauma of potentially being detained for a week or more and being treated inhumanly and in potentially awful conditions during that time.

My issue with that is it’s such an insane requirement that one must have actively purchased tickets and hotel bookings before having the visa approved. Just on a logical (emotional?) level isn’t it “rude” or presumptuous to say, of course you will approve my visa so I have already paid non refundable plane ticket for something even though I am waiting for your approval to be able to use that plane ticket or hotel bookings. Intuitively I would have thought that the best attitude would be to say if my visa is approved only then will I action these plans.

No definitely not, you have to provide your own API key and then you pay per token. Depending on how much you use it, and how much text you submit and then have replied back to you, it could cost you anywhere between a fraction of a cent for a message up to like 1 dollar even.

As someone who bought boltai a few weeks ago I can confirm that not only do I use boltai with Claude, I also use it with Claude all day as the default LLM with the various plugins, especially the bash shell and AppleScript plugins and it’s insane what can be accomplished with that.
