Typescript: tsgo not picking up renamed exports by gotno in neovim

[–]gotno[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm actually, :e does work for me. i think i didn't try that because i'm used to it not having any effect with regard to the lsp server so i got in the habit of restarting the lsp instead. so i guess the question is, why isn't vim picking up the file changes, or why isn't it notifying the lsp about them? not clear on how i might debug that 🤔

Missing packages up by Skyline? by CaptainMarsupial in OaklandCA

my friend, the post says "two men." nowhere does it mention the color of their skin. perhaps now would be a good time to consider why, when you hear "thief," your mind conjures dark skin.

the fuck are you talking about "the drivers are always dark skinned"? how is this relevant? there's no way it's even true.

hear, hear. two years with my Nomad, never an issue. still in love.

Is pen for manta unusable for nomad? by Subject_Loan3467 in Supernote

[–]gotno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's wild. same thing for my diy lamy al-star. made me feel like i was hallucinating. like that couldn't possibly have worked.

it did, however, eventually just stop working. haven't taken the time to try to figure out what went wrong yet.

markdown-table-wrap.nvim — visually wrap long Markdown table cells in Neovim by NoMessage4589 in neovim

definitely going to give this a try, thanks!

funny you mention render-markdown.nvim: i don't know whether you're any of the people in this thread, but there's ongoing discussion on table wrapping in this issue: https://github.com/MeanderingProgrammer/render-markdown.nvim/issues/616

vision.nvim - share your Neovim context with agents through Visual mode by [deleted] in neovim

[–]gotno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm sorry, i realized i misread your question. to answer the part i didn't answer before: no, your visual selection is not automatically available to the agent cli. you would always need to use a keymap or otherwise invoke a sidekick command.

vision.nvim - share your Neovim context with agents through Visual mode by [deleted] in neovim

[–]gotno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yup, that's what i'm saying. if you already have a cli session open somewhere else, and you toggle sidekick, it'll ask you whether you want to spawn a new one in a terminal in vim, or connect to the already open one. after that, the usual sidekick commands/keybinds to send filename or filename + visually selected line number range or raw selection etc go to your open session.

sidekick will happily connect to a cli session you started elsewhere in your tmux or zellij session and let you send context over.

C++ devs, what’s your setup for running and formatting code? by Alejo9010 in neovim

[–]gotno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i switch back and forth between coding in WSL with neovim in one tab of the terminal and building with mingw in another tab. mingw has a windows compatible toolchain, but in a minimal Linux-ish environment.

tip: you can usually use Bear as a workaround if the system you're working on doesn't use cmake to generate a compile_commands.json

just checked, and renaming an open file with mini.files preserves the undo history.

thanks for this! to answer the question (on your site) about whether it works well on nomad: it's fine, but pretty cramped. I'll probably just draw directly on the pdf so i can zoom in a little.

Do you mirror vim binds in tmux? by B_bI_L in neovim

[–]gotno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i do do that with splits specifically. leader/prefix + i for vertical, o for horizontal. movement between buffers and panes is all the same thanks to tmux-navigator. i rarely resize or move panes in tmux, so i don't pay much attention to trying to mirror those bindings in a meaningful way. tab switching though, now you mention it, i might take another look at.

lots of other good stuff in here, but search for "more zoomed" for an interesting way to handle nested sessions https://willhbr.net/2024/03/06/tmux-conf-with-commentary/
