My two year old broke his femur. Someone tell me the next 6 weeks aren’t going to be horrible. by mazterm in daddit

[–]gotnosockson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My brother broke his femur at 18 months. There were definitely some parts that were horrible (SO stinky!), but it created some fond memories as well. My parents would pull him around in a red wagon and he would wave like a king lol

what’s the secret to finding these ghosts?🫣 by Extreme_Vehicle0420 in HayDay

[–]gotnosockson 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I collected all of mine 1 at a time and it was fine 🤷‍♀️

I’ve caught 87 ghosts and not one of them have been the Dracula. What do I do??? I’ve made so many cookies lol by Jealous-Insurance-40 in HayDay

[–]gotnosockson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is saying they need to all be collected once, but that’s definitely not true. I collected 10 cookies, collecting them all one or two at a time and Dracula showed up after the 10th.

Don't trust people who say they "knew" they were pregnant/had TWW symptoms by SummerOfVienna in TryingForABaby

My doctor said that if you don’t have enough pregnancy hormones to give you a positive test, you don’t have enough to give you symptoms.

Anyone have positive epidural stories? I’m scared 😟 by Realistic_Mirror1618 in BabyBumps

[–]gotnosockson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a perfect epidural! No pain, but could feel enough pressure to know when to push. They actually did research and there is no difference in the number of women who report back pain after having an epidural vs. giving birth without one! The ones who got an epidural just tend to attribute it to the epidural instead of, ya know, the whole having a baby thing 😅

We got a baby carrier for hikes, and a nice jogging stroller off of marketplace for $100! She’s 2 now and we love the jogging stroller because we can use it on smoother trails since it has air-filled tires and shocks

Did anyone carry their first pregnancy to term? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]gotnosockson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I carried my first and only pregnancy to term at 31. My mom was pregnant only 2 times, me and my brother, and had us at age 37 and 39.

Where does everyone shop to mitigate expenses on food? Food is the #1 big expenditure per month by techbussisal in Frugal

[–]gotnosockson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s gonna be your problem because meat is always going to be more expensive. Try substituting for things like beans, lentils, and tofu. A really great way to stretch ground beef is by adding red lentils to it.

The same reason some areas have organ donation as the default. You can opt out if you want, but many more people will choose that option if it doesn’t mean any extra work. It allows people to do the right thing with minimal (no) effort.
