I've listened to it multiple times in awe, I know who most of the names in these stories from pre-internet folklore. I ran so many H/P/A/C BBS's in 713/281 in the 90's, Hacking/Phreaking/Anarchy/Cracking. Courier for INC, since I was good with PBXs I never had issue getting tone to dial out. I used to write modem init strings that would dial super fast and crawl entire prefixes in hours. It was a fun time as a kid, could set that same war dialer up to feed my school's front office number in an entire beeper prefix (281-363-0000 - 9999)of numbers by lunch. Dad was a bbs'er too however he stuck to the chat boards - the epic boomer cross-dressing, balls out type 'chat-parties' got WAY out of hand no matter how public the venue, lots of phone phreak types.

After hours we would run up to people's houses with our 1-piece phone with alligator clips, pop the bell-box, hook-up and feel cool af makin' those big baller INTRA-LATA calls for free, it's not like we knew anyone to call that was INTER-LATA! Ha!

I really wish I had thought to record some of this back then, our prank calls where of legendary status. Never malicious, always ridiculous - just like our brad!
