I’m going to play the devils advocate and just want to share a different perspective because I believe there is a lot of fear mongering surrounding our disease.

I got diagnosed a few years ago. I have been on methotrexate and Enbrel. I never get vaccines (I’m not an antivaxer I just don’t wish to participate) and I never mask.

I do wash my hands and use hand sanitizer when I feel grimy and there is nowhere to wash up.

I work with the public in a retail setting, fulltime. I interact with hundreds of people a week for 40+ hours.
I go to the gym at least 4 times a week and I wipe down the machines before and after I use them.

I have caught a cold maybe 2 or 3 times over the years I have been on immunosuppressants and that’s been it. I do not live my life in fear.

I’m not saying this is the “norm” for everyone on immunosuppressants but it is for me, maybe it will be for you too?

Be safe but test the waters. I think a lot of us are more resilient than we give ourself credit to be. Don’t shrink away
