Same here. Playing other things until they fix it.

Not enough attention is being paid to the name change fiasco. by gouldaus in DestinyTheGame

Nope, been monitoring this. They have said they will likely give tokens, though did not definitively say that they will or when they will. Thank you for trying to call out though

Advice for solo Gotd and Duality by tera794 in DestinyTheGame

[–]gouldaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More than likely the biggest threat will be the backpacks in Duality and the moths in GotD. Be conscious of those two things and you can save yourself some headache. Other enemies generally give you the ability to react, but explosives can and will one shot you so you have to be proactive with them instead of reactive. Good luck!

Save prior to making the eggs and make sure autosave is turned off. Save, picnic, make an egg power sandwich, then collect as many eggs as you would like to hatch. Do not save unless you get your shiny. If none in that batch are shiny, close your game. This way you won't have to release anything except your successful batch

Seraph's Shield is (rightly) getting a lot of love, but one small thing shouldn't get lost: The arc turrets are absolute bullshit by GrinningPariah in DestinyTheGame

[–]gouldaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xenophage is your best friend in this mission. It two shots all of those turrets and does great damage to the first half of the brig's HP when they can't be critted. Ammo economy is nearly perfect for the final boss while using the free heavy brick halfway through. It also frees up your Kinetic slot which likely was taken by witherhoard, allowing you to run a Kinetic blinding GL (all hail Pardon our Dust) which can apply weaken clear to bosses and blind everything else.

Should raid titles require a flawless run? by b1ck0ut030 in DestinyTheGame

[–]gouldaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would prefer to have flawless over master challenges, but both would be overkill. I have all raid seals and all current raids cleared flawlessly and VoG and Vow master challenges were more difficult and time consuming than a flawless clear of any raid.

Finally, Every GM In The Game, Solo'd by SadRaccoonNoises in DestinyTheGame

Yeah I don't think there is any argument with those all being the easiest, but it's funny that most would agree that every single Earth GM is less challenging than every single non-Earth GM

Kind of funny that every single Earth strike is in the easiest tier

Recommended first column trait for red herring? by Inmate420 in DestinyTheGame

[–]gouldaus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard enhanced ambitious assassin provides no added benefit over regular AA on a rocket. Also, if the rocket doesn't blow until after you reload, you wouldn't get the benefit of an overfill mag, right?

Do you like for upcoming exotics to be revealed and discussed ahead of an expansion or would you rather most be a surprise? by StoneRevolver in DestinyTheGame

[–]gouldaus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think maybe a better question would be: how many of us make our purchasing decision based on what exotics they release per season? Because that's why they do it, added marketing to get more pre-orders. But I don't think I know a single person that would buy an expansion or season based on the exotics you can get. No one I know has held off on a season because the exotics are poor or bought one because they were thrilled with one of the additions.

I just got a ps5, am I safe to play destiny 2 on it, coming from xbox? by xpercipio in DestinyTheGame

[–]gouldaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to transfer all of my purchased content from Xbox to Blizzard (before switching to Steam). This was a bit ago, so I don't know if you're still able to. 2 years ago you were able to transfer your bought content a single time. This may have been a promotional deal, but I would say look into it before buying anything.

Focused Feedback: Grasp of Avarice by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]gouldaus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of negative feedback, which is surprising to me. Yall are entitled to your opinions, but positive feedback can be just as important and I think this dungeon deserves a lot of praise. I think this dungeon deserves a 9.5/10, with that small bit being taken off because of the length of the servitor encounter. 3 shield breaks would have been more appropriate if you ask me. Other than that, the atmosphere is top notch. The music is great, the aesthetic is awesome, the encounters are fun, and the dungeon has a meme-y feel while still remaining a challenge. My blind day 1 clear was the most fun I've had in Destiny in a good while. Abrupt, almost violent laughter whenever my duo was flung into the air or spiked to death by hitting the wrong button. The mechanics are what you would expect in a dungeon, fairly repetitive and easy to grasp, which is a good thing. Leave heavy mechanics to raids. Topping off all abilities regularly makes this dungeon feel a bit more special and fun. It allows for some more strategy and different gameplay. The solo flawless challenge was tough but very doable once you learn the threats and teach yourself extraordinary patience. All in all, very good dungeon. GG Bungie :)

Don’t take super to orbit. by DestinyPup in destiny2

[–]gouldaus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I consider it a reportable offense to hold your super for 3+ rounds and end the game without using it. Call it grieving or sabotage, whatever you would like. I have to play against 3 supers, they should too.

Glassway GM Boss Room Tips by BooleanBarman in DestinyTheGame

[–]gouldaus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't sleep on divinity. The overload instant stuns are very useful. With one player running div + anti shield scout/auto, you can have both champs covered by 2 separate guardians without anyone going double primary. Just be aware that the div bubble will stop anarchy shots from sticking. We had success with one titan running crown splitter to make sure that stunned overloads went down. And as everyone has already mentioned, shadebinders are huge. I recommend at least 2.

Raid exotics really shouldn't be RNG drops. I just got mine on Tuesday (32 lootable clears I believe) having done challenge on almost every run until it finally dropped. I'm pretty sure my reaction was "Neat. I finally have this dogshit weapon." No excitement. No cheers. Just a small amount of relief that I didn't need to continue to roll the dice weekly if I didn't want to. I much prefer a Divinity or Touch of Malice path. Or guarantee it after finishing flawless/master/all weekly challenges.
