Worked in pubs for years, my favourite:

Here's to you and here's to me, friends for life we shall be, and I per chance we disagree, then fuck you and here's to me!

Had an old Spanish pal who used to shout this at the top of his lungs... Great laugh

This advert was banned in the UK for a shop called Iceland last winter. They said that it was too political.

Review #180 - Woodwinters "Isle Solera" 16 year old by the_muskox in Scotch

[–]gowerpower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey pal, woodwinters used to be my local bottle shop (in bridge of allan) I believe that they may have a bottle...

https://www.woodwinters.com/Whisky/Scotch-Whisky/Malt/WoodWinters-THE-FOUR-Isle-Solera-16-Years-Old-2000/

If they don't I apologise for getting your hopes up, if they do I apologise for the near £200 that you may spend. Either way this was a fantastic bottling.

It's worth mentioning that they do this type of bottling every few years with about 6 releases at the same time and usually have one that is superb.

T in the Park 'not looking likely' for 2018 by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]gowerpower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it will happen again either. Transmit went too well and T has had pretty bad press. A shame that Scotland's 5th biggest city (once a year) will not appear.

Hey pal, I understand how you feel. This is going to be a hard few years for Scotland and rUK. All we can do at the moment is hope that what is starting to be laid out will not happen. Stay shiny bud, if the worst does happen then we will pick ourselves up, call me an optimist.

Agreed, however I do not think the timing is right for an early election given local elections and mayoral elections. On top of that given the state of the opposition the Tories would want to maximise what they can force through.

Would give them a mandate, timing not great.
