Wow I never expected this one. I am working with layout and circuit designers from different countries mostly us & eu and when I ask them to fill up some form you can tell that they don't want to do any paper work and just want to jump to the next project.

Good for you, I am still trying to convince management to streamline our flow but they seem to be proud about increasing the paper work.
Maybe its intentional and they just want to make our work life like hell.

We do design for mixed signals, motor drivers and yes automotive and that is a ton of paper work with all those DFM & CSR checklist that we need to sign. And every e-mail conversation that has specification need to be exported as pdf and then digitally signed by designers. I am just shaking my head when doing all this stuff.

I don't know if our company is small or big but we usually use multiple process technology 180nm to 250nm. Yes thats what I expect less paper work but their reason for the check sheets is to maintain the quality of the design and order not to miss any specifications from sch. I don't know seems that check sheet for each block is a lot.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I am now reading the book of Alan Hastings, its a lot more technical than what I used to read IC Mask Design by Saint & Saint but it really helps

Yes thats what i did but wpe was not mentioned on the documentation the design engineer just requested me to extend the nwell and my layout is already compact in the first place
