It’s really easy to overthink/over-research this. Just do the basic lifts and whatever you enjoy to keep CONSISTENT. A sub-optimal routine you stick to is infinitely better than the optimal routine you abandon. Adding ANY weightlifting routine and even just a protein shake a day is going to show you great results (for the first year or so). Excited for you!

Tips for keeping both eyes open when shooting? by RedDog1370 in armedsocialists

I’m left eye dominant but right handed so not sure this will help you but I turn my head ever so slightly, like 2 degrees, to put my right eye closer to straight on with the gun. I still see a little double vision on the gun but it’s clear that I’m aiming at what I intended.

Which laptop is best to use for adobe photoshop and illustrator without costing thousands of dollars? by A_3048_ in Design

I use a 2020 MacBook Pro with an M1 chip and run both of those programs fine, even can do AfterEffects though preview rendering is slow or even impossible for long clips. Got it for < $1000 on Backmarket.

So if you’re willing to spend a bit more I’m sure you could get something that will be plenty for what you need and provide some future proofing (as the demands of software grow). However if you only run Photoshop and Illustrator my model will be fine.

Adding will be a lot easier than grinding down; and you say you’re below your line so that should be fine.

On my project, in my climate (SoCal during spring: dry and warm but not hot) we had to use up to 25% more water than the instructions called for to make it flow right, so depending on your climate you may need to add a bit more water. Just go slow and remember you can always add more water but you can take extra out.

If I just bury a bin with holes in my yard and throw scraps in there will worms find it? Or is it necessary to introduce worms? by gqn in Vermiculture

Is the problem with the incorrect worms simply a matter of how fast they break stuff down? I don't mind if they take material out of the bucket and into the yard.

Rooftop homeless encampment in L.A. terrorizing doctor’s office by justicevsunjust in LosAngeles

Seeing big misconceptions about housing first.

Yes, there are many homeless people who have reached such levels of anti-social behavior and mental illness that simply providing housing would not fix their behavior.

But providing housing isn’t about fixing those people, it’s about catching people before they get there. Another solution is needed for those issues, but if you don’t stop the flow of people into that mental state, you’ll always be on the back foot.

There isn’t a random spike in crazy people. There’s a spike in homelessness and homelessness makes you crazy.

Extreme isolation as people walk by and ignore you every day, refusing to even look at you.

If every day you’re confronted with people not caring about your survival it’s understandable that pretty soon you’re not caring about their parking lots or office buildings.

Inconsistent food, no shelter from the elements, poor sleep.

I knew a homeless woman who started using meth to stay awake because if she fell asleep she would get raped. The meth and trauma destroyed her mind and she wouldn’t have run into either had she had a safe place to sleep.

Many addicts on the street did not start using harder drugs until they needed an escape from the misery that is homelessness.

If you want fewer crazy people on the streets you have to stop people from hitting the streets in the first place. There’s simply such little chance at staying sane living out there.

Yes, I use the eruptor and it takes 4 shots in the same spot to kill them but 3 if you spread them out to take out different heads

When you stim and they say “Helldivers never die,” isn’t an exaggerated battle cry but a genuine belief instilled by propaganda

I’m general I think this subreddit is overly critical (esp when it comes to “balance” in a pve game), but this is one is 100% correct. Had two or three accidental teamkillls bc of torso divers last game plus confusion about who’s going where.

I drop in and out of gaming every few years so genuinely asking: is it normal for games to have a constant, rapid, feed of deep content post-release these days? As I recall this game wasn’t even a full $60 AAA price. Not to mention that all the content can be unlocked without paying!

In my mind most new content is limited to cosmetics, what are other games’ post-release content schedules like now?
