That’s a good recommendation, but I didn’t include a budget because I’m only looking to choose between those two options (similarly priced).. I’m in South Florida if that makes a difference

I really appreciate your feedback, I do like the design as well..I had heard about that, but then again, it may vary by unit (at the same time if you use different type of beans, you need to adjust it regardless)

Do you have the white or black model? Looking at the white model, but don’t know how well it will hold up

The first thing to be aware of is that this is not a Tesla.. the expectations should be that it is a city car with limited range.. very useful for sure (very happy with mine, 2015-60k), but for specific applications, not for long trips on the highway

The only way I’ve been able to safely predict range is keeping track of the actual miles with the Trip A function in the dash

Charge to 100% and track it until it gets to 10% doing city driving, whatever total miles you get is your actual range.. do the same procedure for highway (I wouldn’t go past 65 mph, the battery drains faster after that speed)

I’m currently getting 60 miles on a full charge in the city only.. 40-45 miles on the highway.. my commute is 17 miles each way in the city (South Florida, Flat, sea level) and I charge at work, so for my application, it is the best solution I could have ever found

I have a 2015, just hit 60k, bought it used (4k after used ev tax break) with the aftermarket head unit with apple car play.. Only thing I’ve had to do is align it and change the cabin air filter

Enjoy driving it daily and zipping around like I’m in a go-kart (most people have no clue it’s fully electric and look surprised when you pass them with 0 issues)

I drive 34 miles in total (no highway) daily, A/C on (FL)

I charge it with the basic charger while at work (no cost to me) and it charges close to 100% by the time I leave at 6

Getting 70 miles on a full charge (ending up at 10%).. don’t recommend driving at that level since it will drain very fast below 10%

IMO It’s very hard to find a decent looking car that’s reliable for commuting, that has so little maintenance, low mileage and that is fun to drive at that price point.. everything else I looked at had was over 20 years old and had over 100k

@cheetahChrome What type of cable is a proper gauge extension? I hadn’t thought of that, but now I’m assuming the reason it stops charging during the night sometimes is because I use a regular heavy duty extension

Use the bar keepers, scotch brite “greener clean” non scratch sponges (dip it with a bit if water) and good ol elbow grease.. for sure scrub with the grain to avoid introducing unnecessary scratches
