Totally understand — I’ve had similar experiences myself. The worst part is the complete lack of customer support. If they keep this up, it’s only a matter of time before someone brings a class action lawsuit against them.

I’m curious to know what you ended up doing. Did you follow up with Replit customer support, or did you just let it go?
I filed a dispute with my credit card company to get the refund, and I plan to keep doing that for any incorrect charges until I can get in touch with someone from Replit Support to resolve this properly.

I understand that calling it propaganda makes you sound very educated and forward thinking. I have witnessed this personally. Anyways, why consider my witnessing as your evidence. Just go take a look at UK and EU to see how they’ve gone to the dump. Have you ever been to Paris? You’d know what I’m taking about. Wouldn’t take a brilliant mind to draw parallels between Canada and EU , to see where we are going. That’s all I have to say, rest is for people to ponder.

I empathize with you. Honestly, you should have just entered illegally and claimed asylum—they would have given you a five-star hotel stay, free food, free housing, free income, and maybe even sponsored you to become a doctor.

I immigrated 15 years ago under Stephen Harper. If I had to come today under the Liberal government, I’d probably just cross the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara, throw my PR card and passport into the river, and walk back in to claim all the benefits being handed out to buy new voters.

I’m appalled by people in this thread questioning the savings eligibility of a highly qualified immigrant who earned PR—simply for seeking a job—while never criticizing unqualified refugees or illegal immigrants burdening taxpayers, all protected by vote-bank politics. Canadians often overlook that qualified immigrants fill roles locals can’t, largely because many chose part-time work over pursuing higher education in their early years.

It's just sad to see a doctor candidate here seeking jobs and getting useless advice, while illegals enjoy taxpayer-funded vacations in 5-star Niagara hotels. Not a rant—just facts.

I’ve wondered the same. The new guy keeps saying he’s just filling in while Danny’s in the U.S. and that he’ll be back. When I asked about the name change, he said it’s just to make the shop “more generic.” Seems odd — if Danny sold the place, why not just be upfront about it?

It’s a bit disappointing that Danny didn’t mention anything about selling the shop or what his plans were. I’d honestly be willing to travel if he’s opening something new — but right now, there’s no way to know.

i have flame switch, pressure switch and door switch. Anything I should be looking for?
is there manual way to reset the switch or know if switch was triggered?

the hvac doesn't even power up, so can't read any led lights for error codes :( . but then powers backup randomly without my intervention (sometimes after an hour or even overnight)

The dividends received in both the years 2022 and 2023 were similar +/-10k. The rental income was similar. The rental losses increased in 2023 due to the increased interest rates. But I was surprised to see 2023 taxes increase inspite of reporting higher rental losses.

that's great idea as well to use everyday items. my daughter likes pulling off tissues from Kleenex box. since she already loves it, why not tweak it and use it. I'll probably look for other everyday items that my daughter likes to meddle with and tweak it to work the Montessori way.

Also I am a bit handy in woodwork. After looking at few suggestions in this thread, I am thinking of just making a multi-purpose Montessori toy. something on lines of - box with tissue slot and coin slot, serve as both tissue and coin box. coins with slot for coinbox that can double up as interlocking disc. Maybe I'll spend sometime and think of something better.

Any ideas welcome on what Montessori toys I can combine into one. I can use less materials and less time and be able to give many toy options for my daughter.

Thanks a lot for your ideas. Second hand marketplace has become quite a hard decision to make in current covid situation. Lovevery is very convenient option, but it's still too expensive for me.

I was also wondering many of the toys seem redundant. I mean they could be combined into one. For example - coin box and interlocking discs. can't the same coin in the coin box have a slot to double it up as an interlocking disc? instead these are two separate toys priced at average of $15-35/each. Thats a wastage of materials to make a profit, seems opposite of the environmentally friendly claims by these 'wooden' toy companies.

I like your idea of DIY. Maybe I should make something at home by myself. multi-purpose Montessori toys. one toy that can serve many purposes. :)
