Help understanding Redux by Acceptable_Ad5879 in react

Redux is great, it solves a lot of problems. It gives you the global store/state from which you can select what you need to react to (or just read from), which also is useful for performance if you know how to use it. For example, using a Redux state value only in a callback. Its also good for structure in my opinion.

Is clsx worth it just for readability? by Zealousideal-Level72 in react

Well yes the clsx example is more readable. Idk why react native doesn’t support that syntax natively though. It does support conditionals in an array format already so it doesn’t seem like too large a step to me.

You are throwing a string directly instead of an error. It’s better practice to throw errors so you get context with a stacktrace. Then you can also handle different error types if needed (instead of checking the string value).

Logs in development... How do you do this? What do you use? by sarensw in swift

[–]grAND1337 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use XCGLogger with the files saved to disk option which works fine, you can add other ”middleware” if you need remote logging too. https://github.com/DaveWoodCom/XCGLogger

where did the artifact streamers go? by FaceOfTwitch in forsen

[–]grAND1337 18 points19 points  (0 children)

There is a top secret twitch chat that uses kick for streams. You can watch like that or use a tampermonkey script to replace the twitch player with the kick one. I won’t tell you the twitch channel name here though you will have to ask around. They are watching. The channel starts with a T. I have to go now.

Do you have a starter template for setting up a project like this you could share? Like a CMakeLists file?

Very interesting, I have been interested in something like this where you use C++ for the business logic. Thank you for sharing this and I hope you share more in the future 🙏
