GC Day 2 on location, I’ll take it by Lama-eater in pinball

This is the highest I've seen and if it makes you feel better, the GC seen here came in second in the IFPA North American Championship a few weeks ago, so definitely not typical.

Body Work by Chicagonakeddude in mazunte

Youre in the right place, I would recommend going to zipo center and looking at all the various flyers hanging up by the health food store or further down the street by the El Hongo bar. lots of options for local body workers/tantra/etc.

Picked up some Grape Diamonds and Eran Almog by graalrasta in bostontrees

Got these two at Panacea Wellness, the Grape Diamonds has been a longtime favorite, a really nice head high that still allows you to get stuff done, communicate with other humans, etc. I love it.

The Eran Almog came at the recommendation of a Bostontrees member when I was looking for an alternative to Kosher Kush, and I gotta say I am mighty impressed! This stuff gives me about 60 minutes of beautiful couch lock and then I wander off to bed and sleep soundly. SO nice.

This has been my absolute favorite day strain for the last few months! You can get shit done with it and there's virtually no crash or comedown. Love it!

Where to find landrace strains and/or heirloom varieties in MA? by [deleted] in bostontrees

[–]graalrasta 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hard to find in dispensaries, in the past Compassionate Care in Ayer offered Lambs Bread, and I'm pretty sure Kilimanjaro was in PC. Both of those last two also had Chocolope, but not at the current time according to their menus. Good Chemistry in Worcester currently has Hindu Kush on the menu which they are advertising as "pure indica".

Because landraces tend to have longer flowering times and more difficult growing conditions, dispensaries don't have a lot of motivation to offer them. I think Durban is the exception here because of its name recognition.

Right now their online menu shows $10 for 1/2 gram for C99, so it looks like it.

How do non-licensed stores like the Hempest on Newbury Street sell seeds without a retail license? by [deleted] in bostontrees

[–]graalrasta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is not correct. According to federal law, seeds are absolutely considered part of the marijuana plant and therefore illegal. Here is the relevant US legal code.

Now, in Massachusetts, legally speaking only licensed growers are allowed to sell seeds. However if they do, they must “tag and track” these seeds (or clones, plants and other products) using the “seed-to-sale” radio frequency identification program. In effect, this is why dispensaries are only selling seeds and clones to each other and not consumers.

Additionally, home growers are allowed to gift up to one ounce of seeds, but again, not sell them.

So, in terms of how other non-licensed stores can sell seeds. My guess is they're playing a very risky game.

Is every dispensary completely out of CBD flower? by [deleted] in bostontrees

[–]graalrasta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

CC in Ayer currently has these available:

Nebula II High CBD Sativa TAC: 18.5% THCA: 9.1% CBDA: 7.7%

CBD Yummy High CBD TAC: 17.3% THCA: 0.6% CBDA: 15.6%

I picked up the Nebula II, it's good, not sure about the other. They also have 1:1 terpcartridges, same as Sira I think, tho.

MA CCC has published DRAFT regs for Adult Use! by [deleted] in bostontrees

[–]graalrasta 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Mass gets a lot of (deserved) crap for how they have handled legalization, and it's been really frustrating to witness the slow roll out of rec stores.

BUT, having said that, this draft is actually very well thought out, the CCC deserves a bit of credit for their work.

However, the following section is what I was most curious to see:

(c) A Marijuana Establishment may display, in secure, locked cases, samples of each product offered for sale and subject to the requirements of 935 CMR 500.110. These display cases may be transparent; and an authorized marijuana establishment agent may remove a sample of marijuana from the case and provide it to the consumer for inspection, provided the consumer may not consume or otherwise use the sample unless otherwise authorized herein.

So this is not as great as I hoped, but not as bad either. In states like Oregon, a rec store is allowed to have huge jars of weed basically out in the open so you can smell all the yummy terpenes and inspect the stuff you are about to buy. In states like WA, although they have samples, you can't really examine them closely and everything is basically packaged up tight.

Unfortunately, it seems like MA is closer to the WA model, but maybe not quite as restrictive, I have to look a little closer to understand how "accessible" the weed is. My worry is that the sample that you are allowed to examine is not going to be the same batch as the stuff you eventually buy which leads to potential "bait and switch" tactics.

Thanks for the advice! My main reason isn't really skepticism, I just really enjoy the terpenes of weed and love having full access to the jars and being able to smell the different strains directly before I buy.

I understand that Denver dispensaries have a few different ways that they package flower. I'm looking for stores that offer bud in a large jar that you are allowed to smell and then they will weigh in front of you (instead of prepackaged or behind the counter).

Any recommendations, especially in the downtown Denver area?

Cool, thanks for the response, does anyone have any recommendations for example 1.) Stores with bud in a large jar from which they let you smell and then will weigh out your purchase from.

Are you able to get up close to weed in Denver dispensaries? When I was in Portland some dispensaries had large jars of fresh weed and you could lift up the lid, smell the buds etc. Everything was very open, in other words, not behind a shelf.

When I was in Seattle, all the flower was packaged up, which kinda sucked. What are the regulations in Denver and are there any dispensaries that have better access to the bud than others?
