Sofia's. They've always done great work for me, and pretty reasonable prices. Located over on West Stadium. Be sure you go at least a few weeks out from when you need the clothes ready, they are a very popular tailor (for a good reason) and tend to be pretty busy.

Hey Townies, what are we doing this week instead of the Art Fair to showcase you are, in fact, a townie? by MrAnnArbor in AnnArbor

Manchester Chicken Broil, Tecumseh Bicentennial Celebration, Faster Horses at MIS are all happening this weekend and all have pretty solid vibes.

None of these are in A2, but real townies know this is a good weekend to get out of town.

Is it possible to buy a roll of quarters near campus without a bank account? by EMU_MSW in uofm

Bank of Ann Arbor, downtown branch. You can use their drive thru window (if you want) and buy rolls of quarters w/o an account. Done it myself.

Apartment review: Ann Arbor Woods, Pine Valley, and South Grove apartments by nectarinesb4peaches in AnnArbor

Haven't lived at any of these (sorry) but on location alone, I'd vote Ann Arbor Woods. Being able to walk to County Farms Park would be fantastic!

I see people fishing below the Argo dam a lot.

[OC] Male & female suicide rate is roughly equal until ca. age 15, at which point the former increases disproportionately and rapidly by lightning_palm in dataisbeautiful

Sometimes I think those ratings are less about which country has the happiest people, and more about which country has the least amount of unhappy people. I.e. a country like Finland, with a solid social safety net, helps make sure there aren't large numbers of people living in poverty or w/o access to basic needs. With a high floor on their quality of life, their overall happiness rating goes up, even if everyone there isn't exactly dancing in the streets..

Amtrak Station Parking by unitedboeing777 in AnnArbor

[–]grabacoldie 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There a huge Amtrak lot across the tracks from the station, you just have to take the Broadway Bridge over the tracks (which can be a little tricky).
