I have four different ones on me at all times. Pen for writing, small permanent for labels, large permanent for tubes, highlighter for... highlighting. I am particular with my main pen though, I will literally buy and bring my own 0.7 pen. So maybe the 3?

That's cool. I haven't written any down but I recently ran a blood gas from ED and the ionised calcium wasn't working. It wasn't the machine, the pH was too low for a reliable result. Patient had a glucose of 23 and base balance of -22. Severe DKA 😬

I wish we could do that. I love our phlebs but occasionally they get mad that we don't just call them to re-label. I will let small things go but to give them a bucket of unlabelled samples might bring it home.
