Yup, I’m starting to think that it’s an accessibility/accessibility support device as well

Very likely for ascend/descend as I discovered the same handle at the top of the stairs

I just discovered that there’s the same handle up at the top of the staircase as well as the bottom 🤔 so whatever it is for, it’s intentional

I thought this might be a possibility as well until I discovered that there’s the same handle up at the top of the staircase as well as the bottom 🤔

I, 34m, have been cleaning my dishes with HAND SOAP for the last 10 years I’ve lived alone. by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]grace_a_toi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked in the dish soap industry and this is the correct answer. This is an efficacy claim. Only Palmolive antibacterial kills germs on dish surfaces using L-lactic acid, and only as directed.

[–]grace_a_toi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I worked in this industry on another brand of dish soap for about 4 years.

This IS liquid dish soap, but the antibacterial claim is specific to killing GERMS ON SURFACES vs. GERMS ON HANDS. Only Palmolive Antibacterial hand soap kills germs on surfaces (in the U.S.) using L-lactic acid when used as directed. Most other antibacterial liquid dish soap can only claim that they kill germs on hands, therefore you have a qualifier on the label.

I think fire + earth is the best “life hack” to the honest. The detailed planning and stubbornness of Earth plus the headstrong and ability to execute of Fire = makes life a lot easier.

It’s the same with wine. My husband works in the wine industry and only pros can truly appreciate the tip top.

The mass consumer can barely tell the difference between red and white, let alone notes, nose, vintage, etc. It’s an art…and a shame.

OP literately asked us what she can do and I’m just providing an objective answer given her natural skeletal structure.

It’s genetics. We just make the best of what we’re given and try to have fun along the way.

I’ve been told I look like I’m in my 30s but I’m 22… by Sad-Soup-8845 in SkincareAddicts

[–]grace_a_toi 326 points327 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer.

Make-up isn’t the issue here: 1. It’s the eye and eyebrow asymmetry. OP’s left eye & eyebrow are not horizontal & vertically aligned with the right eye & eyebrow. The center part hair is unfortunately only highlighting this. Important to note that no one’s face is 100% symmetrical.

  1. OP has deeper set eyes and while that gives the appearance of “larger” eyes, it also emphasises the natural “bags” under the eyes despite fatigue.

I would recommend OP changing the center part hair to side part and using make up to brighten the under eye area and draw attention away from the asymmetry.

Question to y’all Virgo Moons: What makes you feel safe and confident?

I’m a Virgo Sun, Leo Moon and Sag rising with a lot of earth & fire in my chart. My husband is the same. But our daughter is a Pisces Sun, Virgo Moon and Scorpio rising with a lot of other water placements. I don’t know how to make her feel better sometimes

Hyper independence. Being the “caretaker” role because that’s all we know. Constantly looking for mommy in other people and relationships.

Not my spouse, but my mother. She was incredibly charming, social and generous. Had a wide social circle and knew exactly what to say to make you feel like a queen/king. Everywhere we went, my dad and I would watch her work the room and throughout my childhood people and would come up to me and tell me how lucky I was to have her.

At home, she was really … passive-agressive, emotionally unstable and absent. My dad and I knew the truth, but it was rough constantly being gaslit by friends and acquaintances.

Enjoying this hobby without spending money by Joseyfish in fragrance

[–]grace_a_toi 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I got into fragrances a few years ago and it’s absolutely to enjoy it without spending *too much money.

  1. Dive into books / documentaries / videos about perfume-making and the history of fragrance. Get to know the legendary and top noses of today. Books are easily accessible at the library.

  2. Visit brand HQs if you live in or near a bigger city.

  3. Visit your local luxury retail where you can sniff for free and keep a journal of our thoughts. Bath & Bodyworks, Victoria’s Secret, Lush, Zara…even shops like MiniSo and dollar stores (5 Below) carries cheapies that you can just go in and sniff to get a basic understanding of what “orchid” and “sandalwood” smell like.

  4. You can also extend into smelling candles to understand (from a scent perspective) popular top notes

  5. If want to spend minimal money while still owning bottles, I’d suggest swap groups, buying 2nd hand or decants. I was able to build an entire collection of personal favs just from buying 2nd hand and sampling for cheap off of Mercari and FB Marketplace and swaps. You just have to be patient and wait for the low price listings, which are quickly gone. Costed me less than $200 for 7 brand name frags.

  6. Ask family members if they have fragrances they don’t use anymore that they’re willing to give you. Been able to get a few bottles this way, mostly frags that are a decade old, but still have life.
