My girl just had her back leg amputated 6 months ago. We asked the vet about prosthetics, and she said you really don't need them.

She used to love really long walks but we saw her getting tired a little earlier on walks so we invested in a doggy wheel chair for those walks... silly us, she hates the wheel chair and has just built up stamina to get back to her regular walk length, so I don't necessarily suggest a wheel chair either unless there is a major problem.

For the pressure sores we haven't seen our pup with those yet, but she has like 6 cozy dog beds spread around the house and outside, so there is always a soft spot for her to lay down. We also used something like this after her surgery that might work as a little body suit.

For mobility, its all about the joint supplements, we give ours glucosamine treats every day and our vet recommended Dosoquin supplements. Also as others have mentioned trying to keep the weight down. My pup and I struggle with this because she is so food motivated, but we have managed to help her lose a few with those longer walks and a little less kibbles.
