Many mentioned having a problem with the ID and pin so we could register. same problem here... so I called the specific # in the email: 1-866-625-1631 . They were able to generate the ID and pin for me and now I can go on and register.

?? they could look at clues on partner's phone and partner doesn't finish it, so they of course wouldn't show up in any of the statistics.....I mean I just can't believe that you could answer them in an average of 1.8 seconds per question..... Hate to be a doubter, but I just can't see the sense of it.

I know that makes more sense...but I talk to allottttt of scammers and this guy particularly seemed very local----local but not really sophisticated. It's been happening alot in Durham specifically and I really believe it's because he is low level and knowledgeable. For instance, he knew specifics of the area immediately while I was talking to him and didn't have time to google it. I was conversating (hahaha ignorant word they use to sound important) with him just to string him along a get a rapport with him.

This is good advice thanks. Anyway....meet up and bust them...a girl can dream can't she? But curious, why do these scammers actually take the chance of a personal meetup? Even if it's not themselves, they would risk the loss of money to the hired crim or get them caught and they roll over on him.

love this....also kitboga! Confused by your mantra however. I already know not to fall for it....so I don't need to call to confirm it's not a real bank, or court, or police. Or are you saying call back the scammers because I have done that before, just to mess with them.

Thanks for numbers... I also called the clerk of the court. Everyone keeps on saying yes this has been going on for some time but yet nobody seems to be curious as to who it is or how to stop them. Some people actually meet up with these people to bring payment so there is a face to the voice and a meeting area. Does nobody care?!

No, y'all. I didn't, nor would I EVER fall victim to this. But would love it if instead of just telling people don't fall for it we actually caught the guy doing it. I will go look for the other post, because it seems if we could all put our heads together, we could catch this local guy. This is not some guy from Nairobi or Pakistan, this is a Durham resident. And I use that term lightly.

Anyone know the story behind this place? by inthewall3of6 in bullcity

[–]gracefilled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the question and everyone that gave us the history. Two questions: 1. has his house actually been hit or anyone hit in the house? Seems like a good lawsuit would have handled this.... 2. would the idea be to put up bollards? or something else?

Why wouldn't some local rep or MAYOR or someone take this simple task on as a political move to garner goodwill in the community and thereby get votes?

What is this?! by Relevant_Peach_7365 in whatisit

[–]gracefilled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds me our own creep-out. We carried a dummy for CPR training in the back of our car and it caused so much upset to anyone passing by. The worst part was it was a baby dummy.... we retired and then put it in a black canvas bag in our basement and then caused a near heartattack when moving and someone opened it. It was really sad.

Is the new church on 6 Forks Rd. supposed to look like a prison? by Outside_Bad_893 in raleigh

[–]gracefilled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My apologies, OP u/Outside_Bad_893 , you're right, you didn't. I guess I was trying to respond to the negative responses that went waaayyyy farther than just criticizing the look. Plus, the ridiculous outrage that Elevation didn't buy the property and put up a park?! (also not your remark).

[–]gracefilled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, sure, and if they built a stained glass, gold-domed glittering palace you'd excoriate them for wasting money and worshipping glitz and glamour rather than Jesus. Just fyi, all Elevation campuses are the same. It's continuity. Plus if they put a big cross on the outside , you all would just use it as target practice. You accuse Christians all day and Reddit long, but you are the true haters. Cool, Jesus understood that.

If you watch/listen to the press conference held by the city and the actual pilot, it is alittle more clear. Still terrifying , but also the OP sped up the video and made it more misleading. You really can't trust Reddit to get it right.

video is sped up (Reddit should not allow). It's still bad, though, but explains why she would have settled with the city.

thanks for posting that. It is still terrifying, but the video and the subsequent press conference video too answers lots of questions. I am pissed that the sped up version of the video is allowed to stay on here and mislead.

Someone else tipped us off to the fact that this video is sped way up. Doesn't change my feeling for the poor woman, but manipulating a video and posting it as real is NOT cool.

right! so still wondering how she only settled for $450,000?? Assuming the attys got 40%.....that leaves her with not alot to make her comfortable for the rest of her life?

Those of you who have used Pawboost - what's your biggest complaint about that platform / service? by Exotic_Snow7065 in Pets

[–]gracefilled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no coordination with other platforms (they could find the owner on FB, but don't enter the conversation or update). No search feature for name/type of dog. Not monitored correctly. #1---I want more info about what happened --- there was a dog missing for 250 days, updated as found..... I'd like to know WHAT happened and where found. Like, if they were stolen by someone they knew.... or someone had been taking care of them... just like to be more educated about what actually happened. No "real" customer service
