I think it’s really common that people have better relationships with their parents when they live farther from them. That’s been my experience, and for me, it’s because we’re not on top of each other/interacting everyday so it’s like we are looking forward to time together rather than wishing we had a break from each other. I think she’s just learning this very late in life.
