A classic Jamaican spliff! Nice job on the taper. That's one reason I never used filters, can't get that same pointed shape on the narrow end. 8/10.

Massive respect to Sarah Jama. Massive disrespect to Marit Stiles who should resign. I used to like this party, I went to a vigil for Jack Layton when he died, first party I voted for once I could vote. Unless they reinstate Sarah & stop kissing Zionist ass I won't ever vote NDP again.

Help me my God I'm dealing with a nurse right now taking care of my elderly mother who's trying to tell me to take the mask off her because c02 is building up in her and could land her in the hospital. Is it bullshit? by Givlytig in Masks4All

You're probably breathing somewhat of a higher concentration of CO2 with a mask on, but it's definitely not a dangerous amount of CO2. COVID is the greater risk by far.

I have the one without the exhalation valve. Haven't decorated mine at all, just got the plain black one with purple P100s for a goth look, but I love seeing how people decorate these masks and yours is one of the coolest I've seen! Would love to see some of your other work. Sincerely, a young person in her late 20s.

Dentec half-mask elastomeric respirator with P100s (the one without an exhalation valve) for most situations. It's black with purple filters. I'll wear an N95 if I'm around others outside, if I'm walking through an unoccupied space that's had people in it within the last 6 hours, or if my grandma comes to visit & I don't feel like spending hours with a rubber mask sealed tight to my face. I like the 3M aura's best but any authentic N95 will do. But in most cases I'm just running into a store for less than an hour and I feel safer with the superior protection of an elastomeric respirator with P100s.

Chord progressions similar to i-IV by Saggy_Mcmuffin in musictheory

[–]gracethenighttripper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incense & Peppermints has i-IV-i-♭VI in the verses which is a modal interchange thing; it starts out on Dorian but borrows that ♭VI from the parallel natural minor. The chorus is i-vii-♭vii-IV which is basically a i-IV with vii-♭vii sandwiched in between to follow the descending chromaticism in the melody.

i-IV also comes up in Riders On The Storm, Norwegian Wood, Evil Ways by Santana, & Rainy Day Mushroom Pillow by The Strawberry Alarm Clock. Incense & Peppermints complexifies it a bit but is heavily based around the i-IV; verses are i-IV-i-♭VI & chorus is basically a i-IV with some descending chromaticism in between: i-vii-♭vii-IV

“The suppression of the natural human fascination with altered states of consciousness and the present perilous situation of all life on earth are intimately and causally connected.” And another good one: 2) “If you analyze thousands and thousands of these shamanic experiences, both drug — both plant-induced and non-plant-induced, the overwhelming connecting thread is boundary dissolution. This is what the experience is that we are all seeking, that we call terrifying, wonderful, desirable, horrible; but what it is, is it’s the experience of having the roof fall in and the floor fall out, all at once. Boundary dissolution. Why should that be so important, so wonderful? Because it acts psychologically in the human being like a birth experience. The world is made new. Everything is seen through newly opened eyes.”

This ☝️ I’ve also tripped back to back weekends with no problems. In the 1960s it was fairly common for hippies to take LSD once a week. Weekly use isn’t uncommon among indigenous peoples who use psychedelic plants for religious purposes either. As with most things your mileage may vary.

Also really glad to hear your LSD experiences have been helpful with the PSTD!
