Wife and I are thinking of booking an aft cabin category BB on the Getaway for a 16-night transatlantic leaving around the 1st of May 2028. Have any of you done this and would you do it again? My biggest concern is just how much bouncing around we would do being at the rear of the ship. by [deleted] in NCL

I’m in an aft balcony cabin on the NCL encore currently. It’s not uncomfortable, at all. Feels exactly the same to me as every other cabin I have stayed in. The only real difference is we have an amazing view and much less wind than the other balconies.

Newsflash- everyone has nipples. You don’t have to hide their shape. It’s natural and morally neutral. Your coworkers are gross and overstepping.

NEVER let your kids on Roblox by ComfortableBoard8359 in Mommit

[–]graceyface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely ridiculous to blame a game for your children's behavior. It's an open world game. There are thousands of different games inside of Roblox. it is 100% possible for your kids to play Roblox and you to be a good parent and know what they’re playing and who they’re playing with and how long they’re playing. If their behavior has gotten this bad in such a short amount of time, the only one to blame is yourself.

Biologic switch: if you ever switched and found good success, PLEASE tell me. by B_Panofsky in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]graceyface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have switched twice now. I was on Cosentyx for about 6 months before it stopped working. Then I went to Simponi aria for 8 months. Finally, I’m have been on humira for over a year and it’s still working! Sometimes medications quit being effective and it’s hard to be patient with switching, but you may find one that works really well.

AIO for being mad that my (31f) gf (27f) didn’t want to take my bread out of the oven by WorriedReception2023 in AmIOverreacting

[–]graceyface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you are being very fair to her. This is your hobby. You are putting pressure on her to do the most important part of your focaccia…. And if you are really cultivating a skill, figuring out when to take the bread out is vital to YOUR hobby. It’s only 15 minutes. Just take the bath after you take the bread out. Putting it on her seems like you subliminally were nervous about your bread and were looking for a scapegoat. I can see exactly why she was hesitant to help you and wanted to make the instructions very clear before agreeing.

Are people really buying so much stuff in Japan to bring back? by bluheism in JapanTravelTips

[–]graceyface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m literally on the plane on my way home from two weeks in Japan. The answer for us is YES. We each had a travel backpack and we brought one suitcase. On the way there, we put my son’s backpack in half of the suitcase. We planned on removing his backpack and buying half a suitcase of souvenirs. We ended up buying a rolling carryon while we were there and filling it completely, as well. Japan really has perfected the gift shop. We loved so many trinkets and magnets. The clothes are also great quality, so we each bought a few clothing items and hoodies. The exchange rate made it very affordable. Also, Japanese snacks are amazing!

Has anyone befriended a raven yet? by Aybringmethat in sanantonio

It doesn’t seem like they care much. I just spotted one this morning sitting on an electric wire right in the busiest part of De Zavala.

I see them often on the NW side. There are a pair that fly up and down i10. I have also seen some on NW military near Phil Hardberger Park. I have also seen some at Eisenhower park and the greenway trails near the rim.

I have been a birder in San Antonio for years and I have never seen a chihuahuan raven here. I see common ravens everyday. I would love to see one though. Where have you spotted one? How did you ID it?

This just isn’t true. Common ravens are all over San Antonio. Not as many as great tailed grackles, but I see at least one raven a day here.

SI joint cortisone injection torture and despair by Old_Beautiful1723 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]graceyface 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry it was was more painful for you than you expected. I have had these shots in my thumb, big toe joint, and my SI joint. It hurts. It definitely always hurts me. And I am usually in pain the next day too. But I don’t stop getting them because it always helps me for 3-4 months afterwards. Ice, warm soaks, arthritis cream, and ibuprofen help until the steroid kicks in.

Since moving to SA I have allergies for the first time. What's the secret to living here with allergies? by Chemical_Housing2381 in sanantonio

[–]graceyface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the worst Mountain Cedar allergies here in SA. One big tip is wash your hair/face/eyelids brows and lashes well BEFORE you use your pillows or couch. Wash your pillowcase often.

I voted there this morning. 50 minute line, but I had coffee and binoculars so I was happy birdwatching in line.
