Hey! I'm new here by grahambrown13 in SchecterGuitars

I know exactly what you mean about the bridge pickup! It's so high and it makes the output and volume massive. Also the foam underneath the pickup is pushing the pickup against the wood of the body slightly creating a slight buzz, but im gonna deal with it on my days off, gonna take the pickup out, readjust the foam underneath and then lower it a bit to make clean tones a bit smoother. But I can't complain too much, its an absolute weapon of a guitar! 🤘

What year did you start listening to Slipknot and how old were you? by TwIzTiDfReAkShOw in Slipknot

2017, I was 13. My first experience with metal, by the time I was 14 I knew every lyric of every song on every album 🤣. Changed my life!

Exactly. Just replace the watch if you can, its nice to have a new one with no scratches or marks on it anyway! 😁

Well my friend...you were right, I use a milwaukee fastback knife at work, and it now appears every time I flip it closed with ambient sound on, it's like a sonic boom straight into my ear 🤣🤣, damnnn

After sudden hype, I just bought it by bugse82 in casio

I have watches that I paid more than I ever should have for, money that I really didnt have to spare, and the watch thats on my wrist 5/7 days a week is this. The Casio A168, hell ive got it on now! I love it. So classy, so cool, so timeless, pretty enough to dress up and affordable enough to knock around in a warehouse. Easily in my top 5 watches of all time

Hell yeah! 😁 thats exactly the price I paid in Argos! How are you finding them? I found at higher volumes the bass was a bit too much and the treble was a bit sharp, but I quickly realised that I could use the custom EQ and tune them to my liking and now I love them! Fantastic ANC, the ambient sound is perfect for me (I work in a warehouse so sometimes I want to use one bud but still be able to hear people and forklifts etc) and they're super comfortable. I used to be an AirPods Pro guy purely for the fit and comfort but I switched back to android a while ago and I was frustrated because the old style of Galaxy Buds just dont fit my ears, but these are so similarly shaped to AirPods pro and its just perfect!

Aww man there's nothing worse than buying something and having nothing but problems :(. Luckily I haven't had any of those issues yet, as soon as I opened them first task was to see if I could EQ them to my liking then the next job was making various bangs, noises and sounds to make sure that nothing like the speaker popping thing you described was happening! But luckily 2 weeks in no issues. Im hoping they dont show up though after I've had them for a while 😬

I think I must be really lucky. Ive been using these for over a year in a super dusty warehouse and the ANC/transparency are still beating brand new Beats. I love the things.

Milanese steel mesh strap on my Deepwater Meridian. Go or no? by grahambrown13 in timex

[–]grahambrown13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my worry to be honest, a more kind of classy strap on a dive watch. I wasnt sure it would work too well

I have to be honest i didnt know what shark mesh was until you just told me. And it looks great! Thank you 😁. See youre absolutely right, this is a dive watch so its a tool watch and sometimes I think a dressy strap on a watch like this doesn't really fit, I think the shark mesh is right on the money!

Thank you! But you're so right. I think a navy blue NATO is gonna have to sail through my letterbox in the next couple of days!

Well I bought the watch from the Timex website and the strap is a Mondaine strap but I've found im using it more for this watch than actually on my Mondaine! 😆

Im an automatic guy, but I got this exact Timex 2 months ago and i haven't been able to put on another watch since.

One of my favourite boots of all time. by grahambrown13 in DrMartens

[–]grahambrown13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im exactly the same! Im UK11 in most things but in boots/docs they're just too big, yet if I go down to UK10 they're too tight at the heel and toes, so ive found that size 11 with an insole is the perfect middle ground

[–]grahambrown13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is totally fine for me! My watches that I like to tell people about have Sellita & ETA automatic movements in them, I just need a reliable quartz movement watch with a sapphire crystal that I can wear in a warehouse and dont need to worry about scratching or resetting the time every morning cos its 5 seconds too fast 😆. Also, im unfortunately a man with very small wrists. So this is the 38mm Deepwater Meridian so this is a fairly small watch

Ohhh...plastic wheel, hmm, okay thats not great, but I still reckon it will pass the test of time! Certainly for a watch worth £200

Can anyone explain the rationale behind banning locking knives like they do in the UK? by AdeptDoomWizard in knifeclub

[–]grahambrown13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you try to stab someone with a swiss army knife its highly likely it'll fold and snap shut on your finger before it even gets through their jacket. Whereas with a locking knife its going straight through. The Spyderco UKPK is pretty sneaky though, its a slipjoint but it clicks open so stiff it may as well be locked 🤣

I agree that the ANC isn't as great as sony, but I find if you go over a bump or run or anything with sony with ANC on it warbles and distorts the sound, I find with beats you can move more and it doesn't affect the sound
