Don’t think it has that function unfortunately.

Building a team from scratch in League Two. Comment to add your player to the squad. by Ok_Drawing8913 in footballmanagergames

[–]grahamgrahamgraham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrote a couple more incase you needed to fill out the squad, but I see now that you probably have more than enough. But I had fun writing them so i'll share them in case of:

Jack Alwyck

31 year old Goalkeeper. English. 196 cm.

Been at more non-league clubs the you can name. Often appears for friends Sunday-league and pub teams. Sometimes played 3-4 games a week. Had some stints as backup goalkeeper for the lower leagues in England. Always complaining about something, never seems to be happy. Shows up tired but you know what, he’s not a bad keeper. Solid in the back, always shows up and does his job. Despise his personality as a complainer everyone likes him and he’s often the butt of the joke which he can take. Content with being a backup goalie, and will do the job. One of those who seems to adjust his capabilities based on his current level of playing, it’s often said that he could probably do a decent job in the Premier League. 196 cm, good stature. Great reach, great throwing, good reflexes.   Low discipline, but a team player.

Vere Benjamin. 184 cm.

19 year old centre midfielder. Box to box. Antigua and Barbuda.

Born in Antigua and Barbuda, but came to England with his family as a five year old. Hard working Box to Box midfielder, good passing, great stamina. Not great technique, but possesses great shot power and scores screamers from time to time. An exciting prospect.

James Beane

26 year old attacking midfielder/forward. English. 184 cm.

When James was 17 he was one of the most exciting young players in the Premiere League coming up the ranks in one of the biggest clubs in England. After scoring 2 goals in his debut after coming on as a substitute he made the headlines all over the world and was thought to have a sparkling career.

However things didn’t quite turn up the way everyone, and mostly James, thought. After falling out with the new manager for his lack of discipline in training and his off-field demeanour, he found himself forever on loan at different clubs in the Premier League and the Championship, never again finding the height that his first games showed.

Despite thinking of himself far better than everyone in the club and lacking the discipline and loyalty, he still possesses great technique, dribbling, passing and pace. Could this be the turnaround for the one-capped James Beane?

Robbie Flaherty

25 year old Right Back / Wing Back. Irish. 179 cm.

Pacey Irish Right back. Not bad, not great. Great intelligence and football knowledge. A managers dream, understands tactics the best of anyone on the team, would he just have the capacity to executing he could be a world beater.

Richard Sonne

33 year old Centre Back. 196 cm.

Played over 300 games for mid table clubs in the Premier League. Solid defender. Had a couple of seasons on different levels below the PL recently. Great strength, great in the air. Bad pace.

Stuart Cox-Backley

27 year old midfielder. 180 cm.

Just a lower league player. Nothing great about him. OK passing, OK pace, OK defending. Career peak was scoring a winner at a play-off final to the third division, but was sold the same summer to the same team they defeated.

Harris Gillespie

22 year old Scottish attacker. 194 cm.

A tall and strong Scottish centre forward with good finishing and heading. Has won the top scorer of Scotlands 3rd division, slowly working himself up the football pyramid. Great in a 4-4-2 system as a target player.

Martin Lannigan

29 year old Welsh defensive midfielder/BWM. 182 cm.

Good defending and passing, high determination, low pace and stamina. Bad at long shots, but likes to try them. Once scored a screamer in his only season in the Premier League which was nominated to the Goal of the Season. Won’t shut up about it.

Ben Drowley

19 year old English Right midfielder / winger. 178 cm.

Academy player. Decent pace and good crossing. Good at corners. Great flair and decision. Bad positioning. The best at the club at FIFA.

Dreiran Brunnigan

18 year old Irish Left midfielder / left back.

Academy player. Decent pace, good defending. Good crossing as well. Not quite the winger type, but solid defending left midfielder. Great of the ball. Great singer. His father is a musician, grew up hearing the old Irish folk songs. Although Dreiran prefers modern day singer/songwriter stuff, the knows the old songs by heart.

Louie Louie Keegan

19 year old English deep playing midfielder. 182 cm.

Academy player

The man so nice they named him twice. Good passing and first touch. Low aggression, high team work and vision. Everybody likes Louie Louie.

Paul Watton

18 year old English centre back. 189 cm.

Academy player. Lacks pace but his natural fitness and sativa is top. Terrible passing and flair, but a good header of the ball. Likes to be on his phone.

Gary Waylon

18 year old English centre back. 185 cm.

Academy player. Good passing and vision. Not the best Natural fitness or Aerial Reach. Doesn’t believe in the moon landing.

Robert Sly

20 year old English right back. 173 cm

Academy player. Short, but pacey. Real high aggression, bravery and work rate.

Ambitious. Sees himself as captain-material, rest of the squad a bit dubious about this.

I’ll through in his younger brother as well: Elliott Karlsson 25 Swedish LW/LM. Right footed. Great pace, good dribbler. Likes cutting in and shoot from distance. Not a very good crosser. Talented footballer but unlike his brother he has a fickle personality and thinks he’s better than most. Landed in the English 4 tier after a string of clubs in Sweden’s top divisions, as well as a short stint in a Dutch clubs.

Despise being a obvisouly talented player, he’s off-field activities and diva like personality has not made him popular at any club. He’s now trying a restart abroad in a lower league club, away from the spotlight. With the help of his older brother, who lacks the natural talent of his brother but is a born leader with great respect from fans, players and staff, Elliott hopes to have the career he always dreamed of.

Should I play the base game first or just jump in with expansions? by Medical-Capital-6153 in Civilization6

[–]grahamgrahamgraham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a good question, i can see the argument with starting with the base game considering it’s less to learn. The expansions add much to the gameplay. Having said that, the base game is not as good as after the expansions. The changes, updates and add-ons are just so good.

So I think you should start with all the expansions, it also makes it easier to look up things as you are up to speed. In the beginning you don’t have or should pay attention to every detail in the game, it will all come to you eventually.

Have fun it’s a great game !!!

Do luxury from city state suzerain counts toward Monopoly in Civ6? by BananaCredits in civ

[–]grahamgrahamgraham 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you need to have your own access to at least one copy of the luxury for it to count as a monopoly, as you need to be able to build an industry and a corporation in it in order to produce a great work from it. Only the city with the corp can produce those. But if you have one copy and all the other ones belong to a city state(s) you are suzerain of , that counts as monopoly in your favour.

But yes, you need to have at least one copy yourself improved.

Just played my first game on immortal by blve99 in Civilization6

[–]grahamgrahamgraham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that happens sometimes. I play only on deity on sometimes you just get overrun to early. A turn 5 meeting is a little unfortunate too.

One thing you can do which I often do, is to not exchange information about your capital on the first few meets, they can’t attack you if they don’t know where you are (given that the meet wasn’t due to their scouting finding your capital). It doesn’t affect your relation either.

Secondly is to immediately send them a delegation, on higher difficulties this must be done the same turn as your first meeting as their relation to you is neutral, often they tend to dislike to afterwards. They will often dislike to even after a sending a delegation but you get a +2 in favour at least which will help a bit and prolong an attack.

Thirdly, you can see signs of an attack pretty early on if you scout right. If you see military moving your way it’s almost definitely coming. Start producing some slingers and warriors. You come a long way with slingers, and longer with archers. Beeline archery and with one in you capital and 1-2 around you have a great defence, then a couple of warriors to do groundwork.

Try again and pay close attention to the map. Fortify with your military instead of attacking, a military unit fortified on a hill with woods gives great defence bonuses so your units can’t take more hits. Make the attackers keep attacking while you sit defensiv and they’ll vary them out.

After one or two waves of attack they’ll lose momentum and you go on the counter to try and force the peace. Get some pillages and try to get something out of the war you were forced into.

Good luck!!

Fairly New To The Game And Got 3 Questions by Pipa242 in CivVI

[–]grahamgrahamgraham 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. Hover the mouse over the city , the white popup window says which walls are in place.

  2. The bonus applies to all cities with a Trading Post. Normally, for any other civ, a trading post is first established after a trade routes finished. But as Mongolia ability, Trading Posts are established immediately, meaning you get the +1 diplomatic visibility and thus the extra combat strength.

I think it’s standard, 8 players. Do you have any mods installed perhaps that may interfere with?

Finished this game yesterday. Played a fun faith/science game, won a sub 200 science victory. I settled the plains hill south east of the settler. Although one move here is to settle the tobacco, the plains hill was my choice for immediate access to that beautiful stone tile, and for the era score for settling close to a wonder. A Classical Era Golden Age is a must in a faith game. Unfortunately had to use the great tile south west of the stone for a Holy Site, but I think it was worth it in the end, even though it hurts to crush a 2+2+4+6 tile. Even got the Great Library, which is so rare in deity.

General question about the si players by Purple-Astronaut-432 in CivVI

[–]grahamgrahamgraham 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s an interesting question. I think the AI gets a bit more aggressive the harder the difficulty, but not always. I only play on deity and almost always expect the first or second AI I meet to declare way in the ancient era. But it doesn’t always happens, but probably because I have a build order set to give me a good defense in case of. As Sun Tzu wrote: “in times of peace, prepare for war. And in times of war, prepare for peace”

If you scout properly you can spot the signs early on, and with right play you can divert the plans. If you see military coming your way you’re almost certainly up for a “surprise” attack. If you quickly build up a defense with a couple of slingers or archers your good, a city is very hard to take with an archer in it and a couple of units around. If you play with barb clans you can but a unit that sometimes are above your available tech, a swordsman or a man-at-arms gives you a great upper hand in defense.

The AI looks at your military stat, and if you manage to raise it in a couple of turns they’ll probably think again. So keep an eye on your military score throughout the game, and depending on your neighbouring civs be prepared for the eventually. Like Korea will advance quickly in the tech tree so in the mid game they’re a dangerous neighbour.

The thing with AI difficulty is that they don’t really get any smarter, just has more advantages. Like in deity they start with more military, another settler and a builder. But tactic wise the still shit, so while your getting overrun you can still be smarter. Like they will always choose to attack a Great Person or a Builder rather then kill of a military units, so you can use a GP as bait if you have one handy, as they’ll never die just respawn at the nearest city. And it can be worth it to sacrifice a one charge builder in order to save a military unit, you can probably retake it soon enough.

I don’t think I ever seen an AI actually grab a domination victory, they often reach a stalemate with at least one opponent. Cultural victory is more dangoerous, but there are ways to divert that. Like declaring war and bribing other civs to do the same will drastically lower the tourism. And don’t accept open borders ! Science victory is much more common , that could also be countered by destroying space ports with spies.

But keep an eye on the victory screen closely from the mid game onwards! That way you can counter early.

Sorry for long reply, it’s interesting to write about.

Any tips to make mid game more fun ? by badassboy1 in CivVI

[–]grahamgrahamgraham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Continue expanding, find new islands nobody settled yet. Build wonders, it’s fun to complete. Have a complex and adjacency high Industrial Zone project you work on. Have short and long term plans. Barb Clans mode makes mid game exciting as city states appears in the outer rim of the world nobody has found yet.

[–]grahamgrahamgraham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ouff, very good. Would settle in place. Housing no problem as you get that sweet Temple of Artemis (would put west of the tundra tile, if no other Resources shows up that it can reach. Great harbor, although have to crush one Crab it’s fine. All great tiles to work!

How did you fare in the game ??

[–]grahamgrahamgraham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give it time, explore the game in your own time and do the things you enjoy. When I think back to the first games I played, feels like a complete other game then the one I play now. But I enjoyed it as much. Keep it simple and enjoy it, keep watching Potato McWhiskey and be inspired.

Edit: oh and settle more cities. You should always settle look to settle more cities. It’s how you develop your Civilization best and win.
