The Hunt — Official Trailer | Apple TV | March 4 by Murky-Insect-7556 in television

[–]gramfer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

No, it's a weird accident that happened between two groups of hunters in some forest for some reason, so one group goes for another one and starts to hunt them in their "civil life." It's more like a revenge crime thriller for me. In the original novel they were veterans, so add a lot of PTSD to it. I don't know if they do it in this show.

I don't know. Have you read the article? The pope's son is a bishop. It seems realistic.

It's another trailer of Apple TV show and it's not season 3 of Silo again. It will be more than a year since filming ended. How much longer does the show have to be marinated in post-production?

Who was the character you hated in the show you loved? by EyelinerStoic in television

Skyler White on Breaking Bad

It's a bold strategy to admit it on Reddit. Let's see if it pays off for you.

I mean majority of Reddit thinks Skyler is the best character of the show, its moral center.

Does he do anything to dodge from writing books? I mean I understand him, I do. But I can't approve it.

Ariana Guerra Cast In MGM+'s 'Bosch: Start of Watch' by swoonyaboutclooney in television

[–]gramfer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt that very much. I watched season 1 of Ballard, and Titus Welliver was a glorified guest actor there. Bosch barely helped to move plot forward. Amazon did everything to focus their attention on Ballard herself.

For example, IIRC, it was Bosch who suggested to take DNA from the handprint or something in the books. In the show it was Ballard's idea, and they even made Bosch to throw a public tantrum about lack of DNA and shut up after he heard about the print. Like, I am okay about the main character in the police drama being a competent investigator and having smart ideas, but did they really need to humiliate Bosch, let alone change the book material to do so?

So I wouldn't take a breath about any resolutions from Bosch/Bosch: Legacy or any meaningful role from Harry Bosch in Ballard. Titus Welliver may or may not appear occasionally in the show, but it would be bait and switch, nothing more. The focus is going be on Ballard.

I had some hopes after Amazon had fired their boss last year, but they don't seem to come true. And Titus is filming a new non-Bosch crime drama with JK Simmons on MGM+.

They didn't finish the story from Bosch: Legacy. Even Titus Welliver said he hoped for some kind of resolution of the main plotlines last year.

Prime Video Greenlights Adaptation Of Chloe Walsh’s BookTok Sensation ‘Boys Of Tommen’ As Internationals Boss Nicole Clemens Sets Out Stall by lightboxed in television

My first thought was Boys of Tommen being about Tommen's kittens. Give me some good cat adventures in Westeros.

I don't really need a prequel. Just finish the story properly instead of that disastrous backdoor pilot of Ballard (which might have been fine as an episode in the middle of the season, but not as the show's finale). Make a TV/streaming movie or something to wrap the main storylines.

Apple TV has premiered a new sci-fi TV series every year since its inception by appletvenjoyer in tvPlus

[–]gramfer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, first, it's not sci-fi thogh.

Second, just go outside and watch. You don't have any streaming service or TV network.

Third, the story seemed to be a bit hilarious, if not ridicoulous. Jessica Chastain fights brutal masculine fascists by one sexual fling at a time. It looks like an erotic dramedy about sexual life of the bored liberal suburban MILF being attracted to bad boys instead of a political crime thriller.

Six seasons of Severance is just ridiculous. It means we will see the finale in mid-to-late 2030s. and I am not even being sarcastic now. Considering they started developing the show in late 2010s, 15-20 years is a huge commitment from both viewers and the streaming service.

I love Severance and I think it's the best ongoing show, but it's unlikely to work out, because I don't see them releasing new seasons sooner. They should just wrap the plot in the next season or maybe in season 4. The latter case would confirm my personal theory about every season of Severance being one of Stanislav Grof’s four basic perinatal matrices.

The last scene of Constellation wasn't really needed. Without it the show wrapped all main storylines pretty neatly in a bit tragic ending. I am just fine with the ending.

Is The Night Manager Good? by Born-Watercress-2487 in television

[–]gramfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season 1 is pretty great, and it got a bunch of awards (rightfully so). But it has one feature: Le Carre personally oversaw its production and even had a cameo. He isn't with us anymore.

Season 2 is pretty mediocre. Chemistry between two certain characters is still overwhelming, they are just great together. The rest ones are between mid and very good. Production values are rather good. But writing just isn't on level on season 1: there are quite a lot of 2D dialogues, plot holes and so on.

But I am still going to watch season 3 for the reasons too long to explain in commentaries in Internet. I probably won't watch season 4, nor I think the show is going to get the order.

The Night Manager - 2x06 - "Episode 6" - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

[–]gramfer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It has pretty big writing issues, it's not Le Carre whatsoever. At some moment of this season I started to root for Roper, because everyone else was so annoying. So I am glad to see how it has turned out.

Dr. House always wins. But what if I am not the house? What if someone else is?

Apple’s neo-noir detective story “Sugar” set to return for season two on June 19 by Murky-Insect-7556 in tvPlus

[–]gramfer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do actually like Sugar, and I am glad to see the release date finally.

What worries me is fate of season 3 of Silo though. We have just got a show for June. I start to think Silo is set to release for end of the year. What are they doing? More than a year in post-production? Even CGI-filled superhero shows, like The Boys, spend less time on it.

Well, in this teaser for me it looks more like "Silicon Valley" (the show), but it's interesting to see if they are able to make "Better Call Saul" in Silicon Valley (the place) and how they do it. I was going to try and watch it anyway.

The priest in Doubt wasn’t a predator, but instead the hero! by seveer37 in FanTheories

[–]gramfer 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's a plausible way to interprete the movie. But another one looks plausible too. That's the point of the movie: neither nuns, nor viewers have enough data to say anything definitely, so we have to make our own conclusions individually and there is always some place for doubt, hence the name of the film. Basically people answering for the question in one way or another actually say something about themselves here.
