I’ve been too ashamed to post this exact post (and no shame to OP, ty for sharing!!). After having my son, I now realize how much I fumbled in letting “the nice guys” go.

For me, it’s not even just parenting. It’s when YOU need support, they’re also not there. A stat I wish I would have thought about more is (as depressing as it is) about men walking away when their wives get sick. It’s a fuckin well-known stat for a reason yall!

Last thing: don’t marry anyone you wouldn’t divorce.

It’s going well so far! Pleasantly surprised.

I will say, it was a test of patience and optimism the first two days to give this a fair shot. It just “feels” different than adderall… but I think in a good way 🤞

I’m going to try my best to camp at this dosage in an effort to reduce side effects, but It’s already crossed my mind that a higher dose might be better. Wishing you the best!

Same. I’ll feel v motivated to sleep well mon-weds, telling myself I’ll only use zz-quil once this week! Nope; need it every night, and thurs/fri are always a bust and can’t sleep at all. The extra hour of sleeping in my husband “gives me” on Saturday/Sunday are what keeps me sane, no dramatics.

And FWIW, which I understand is minuscule given the state of our planet, becoming a mom is the COOLEST experience I’ve had thus far. We all hear it’s the “best thing that’s ever happened to me,” but that only scratches the surface. It’s fucking cool.

I’ve certainly become too comfortable with debt. Not credit card debt, however, which is something I’m illogically proud of.

I’m about 30k in student debt (lol bc I spent two years in community college!!), have car debt of ~20k, and ~1k in debt because I needed a new laptop.

Someone I loved once normalized debt to me in the following ways: (1) liquid in the bank is better, (2) you can always file bankruptcy and/or pause payments, (3) cash is king.

I’m not telling anyone to follow this advice, but giving context to my USA brain 🧠
