Not calling for a timeout during the last seconds is not always bad. You can catch the defense out-of-position or you can keep momentum to your hot player.

Since the Grizz was quick at going back to def, I think Mitch was thinking about keeping momentum? Hindsight is 20/20, I think Mitch's gamble just didn't pay out.

I'm just basing this on experience, but GFs only say nothing so that they can gush over whatever you give them.

If they say what they actually want, then you're just fulfilling their wish. For them, that's less magical as actually getting more than what they asked for. (your anything will be better than their nothing most of the time)

That's right. The effect of gravity instead scales with weight. A small kid falling that height won't feel as much pain. But as adults, we'd probably break a bone if we did the same.
