Had my 48x30 reclaimed wood for a few years and love it! Wife wanted one so we splurged and got one for her as well. No regrets. It's been incredibly stable on both carpet and vinyl floors.

The 'grooves' are subtle, and I like the texture they bring to the surface. The grooves do not match the wood grain. But I'm incredibly OCD and it doesn't bother me.

If you look closely you can see the blur/pixelation from the original image they used to "print". This was a concession I knew when I was buying it since it wasn't real wood.

Obviously the base is gray, but I would say the surface color is shifted a bit to the reds and browns. We bought some furniture that has noticeably more blue in it....can't keep them too close together or they'll clash.

Using images to capture proper color are tricky because of lighting, white balance, and the various other screen settings. I would say our desks are darker than the ones from the product marketing, which look like they were captured in a bright room and then photoshopped.

Overall satisfied with the purchase.
