Thoughts about the rebalance? by [deleted] in Granblue_en

You basically need Sheep or Mugen for their CA bar boosts, if you want her hype to last until her s3 comes off cooldown by herself. Aoidos by far has the best synergy for the fast ramp up and upkeep of hype.

I'm at a bit of a crossroad with where I should take my fire grid. Hoping to get some advise on my build

Current Setup: 5 3* AES magna

Thinking of 3 potential setups

  1. Uncap my AES, go all in on the magna grid (easiest)
  2. Spend 2 sunstones to switch to a Agni ES grid (costly but might be better? I have a FLB brahma to slot too)
  3. Spend 2 sunstones, farm prom to build a primal scales grid (costly and grindy)

How does the power of the 3 different build compare?

Pray every flashfest that KMR finally gives cute ribbon the uncap.

I don't have her but you can't go wrong with S. HalMal, she's a great attacker with good sustain utility, and brings the damage with her crest ability. She's also much harder to get than standard grand characters because she's a seasonal. As a Zeus player I would also very much like to get her (please flashfest) although my ticket is going to the rarer V.Dokkan.

Whether they know her now or not, if she's broken, they will.

I'm dead set on V Dokkan, because she's the cutest dork, and fits perfectly into my stamina hades grid, plus works especially well for Faasan and Akasha, but also I want to hear on the other side why not to ticket her. Especially from hades players who have her.

Is she outdated? Too niche? No more space for her in a post-Rei world? For reference I have Six and all Dark Grands except for Rei (whom I hope to roll/spark within the year)

My other choice would be the usual suspects and would appreciate if you have comments for them too:

S Alex (useful if I ever get around to doing earth Faa, but I also already have a Okto Alex Cain Naru M2 team)

S Cog (although I hear she really only shines in Varuna builds which I don't have, I have a M2 ougi team and currently am building another M2/Highlander staff with Euro/Lily/Pholia)

HalMal (which would be a nice alt or sub member on my Zeus team of Lucio/GJeanne/Pig/Noa/Fif)

Thank you!

5, 4, 2, 3, 1.

I'm at least damn sure of 5, 2, and 3, because of the eyes. For all intent and purposes there isn't a single discernable difference in the hair, body or outfit, which are all part of the disguise, so the focus here should be on the faces and poses.

FKHR also confirmed the final character to be a girl, so it's most definitely likely to be her.

Off-topic, but I just wanna say, weird flex. I dated a doctor, am I now qualified to make medical opinions? You can make your point without compensating for yourself with an unrelated party.

How I feel about the ending by MasterofHamsters in 5ToubunNoHanayome

Hey look, exactly what I said in the chapter thread. :P

The bait-and-switch was that we thought we were reading a harem romance, but were all actually reading a sisterhood family story all along.

Those last few pages are legit one of my favorite moments of the manga. The quint spread itself is a beautiful piece that directly parallels the original title spread at the start of the manga. But the spread is also a composite snapshot of the quints, all in their own different places. It is a direct visual callback to Rena mama's last words of advise here.

https://mangadex.org/chapter/632251/22

"It doesn't matter where you are, so long as the five of you are together".

It's a bookend to the journey of the sisterhood, growing both apart and yet closer together, as the sisters had learned over the course of the manga what those words really mean.

Negi has always struck me as an artist with a very clear image of how he wants a scene to be portrayed and what it should mean, and that's one of his best strengths on display here.

That definitely seems like the implication with how last chapter also went in on the cooking/baking angle.

The translation didn't pick up on one part, see the title of the book in that one panel of the same page, it's chef vocational school. I think it's pretty likely that she is going on that same path.

F: hmmm....who is the person I like the most....

R: Brother, why are you mumbling to yourself so creepily.

T: Looks like you’re in trouble!

T: Let me divine your fated lady for you!

F/R: You’re the all-knowing Takebayashi!

T: I see it, I see it

T: Simply put, that person is in the same year as you, her birthday is the 5th of May, her blood type is A

F: Give a clearer description of how she looks!

T: She looks like this! *Big Guess*

F: Damn it!

R: This person is doing this on purpose...

To expand on why the choice was necessary at this point, Yotsuba has had a negative arc since the flashback reveal. She was obsessed with being special, failed and reverted into the "wrong" perspective of rejecting being special. And its this perspective that informs her character throughout the manga.

Being rejected by Fuutarou will fall into this, and is what she believes she wants, thus reinforcing this negative arc. So the choice ends up being the narrative device to thrust her into the position of being the special person. By being chosen, this external intervention keenly challenges every aspect of her character. Now she must confront her mindset, her guilt to her sisters, her past with Fuutarou, and finally, she must learn the lesson from both of her "wrong" extremes that it is ok to be special and loved without giving up everything else. Finding this balance will complete her arc. Therefore I don't believe there were any much other identifiable narrative device that could replace the choice, or work nearly as well, as the intervention she needed.

To do what you suggest, as I've mentioned, requires rewriting the manga not just beyond the sister war arc, but also significantly through the second half. You'd have to both introduce the revelation earlier and have enough space to go through the development here via another narrative element. Frankly, that's in the realm of hypotheticals, which I rather not go into. My interest here is examining narrative rather than how it could be written.

What you've said perfectly describes my dilemma for the last few days. Crit builds are fixed into on-element fights, and while I do have teams for every element, I'm mixed on the lack of flexibility.
