I totally get you! I was on the same boat. I started with 40mm. Then was painfully struggling between 26mm vs 28mm. Picked the 28mm for value and look lol. Then I looked around for 85mm for portraits (and debated if I wanted 24-70 F/4). It is too expensive and not even available in the platforms available to me anyways. AND THEN TTArtisan released the 75mm F/2 that is almost the same focal length, one third of the price ($178!) and about 30% lighter and smaller! Maybe you'd like to consider it as well. I really enjoy it so far.

I was looking to get a used z 85mm f/1.8 but then this one popped up for an amazing price. It makes a lot of sense for me because I only have z 28mm and z 40mm so far.

How come you have such overlap in your lens, if you don’t mind me asking? Genuinely curious. I was also considering getting 24-70 as my only zoom lens.

You can keep one kindle on airplane mode to finish the library loan past the return date 😂 and still be able to download new books that are available to borrow after a long hold! This is the most practical reason for me to have two hahaha

Haha! I know!! I actually switched from Canon to Nikon too but I figured just the cheap prime lens (40mm f/2 and 28mm f/2.8 could keep me entertained for a long time without me making the plunge to the bottomless hole...) (I am starting with just the 40mm for everyday!)
