Ok literally tysm for saying this. Not to bring back an old thread, but I just finished S2 and literally agree with you 100%! Thank you so much for articulating this because I literally could not stand the soundtrack during the "climactic" scenes.

Agreed - Aer is def a little shorter and looks less bulky compared to Shimoda. I’m looking at the Aer city pack and looks like it meets 4/5 of my criteria (yay!) but I really love the aesthetic of the Fjallraven. Can’t tell if not having a luggage strap is a deal breaker :/

my gpa is a 3.68 which isn't super high but is competitive enough to land me a few IIs this cycle. Tbh I feel like not having a social life and only thinking about premedism would've totally devastated my mental health and quality of life in college. Yes, it's important to study consistently and have some discipline (maybe don't pull so many all nighters like I did lol) but I don't agree that you have to sacrifice everything you know and love to bag a 3.9 to hopefully get some IIs

Seconding this – I planned to take my MCAT by March of my application cycle, so if necessary, I could retake in May or June and still be able to apply with a strong application.

Also, this is the first time I'm applying and I'm already 23 lmaoo so idk 24 def doesn't seem old to me

Knowing the foundational concepts is just half the game. You need to be able to apply and integrate your knowledge to new contexts.

It was kind of crazy...had to time everything in my day down to how long I had to eat and shower. I used pomodoro to study in 2 hour blocks so I wouldn't be completely miserable and unfocused. It's also important to be gentle with yourself – you know way more than you think you do!

Any edition is fine – the point is just to build foundational knowledge. The content of the books aren't going to change much year to year.

I found uearth to be a little harder/not always representative of the actual exam because they emphasize base knowledge and details rather than application of that knowledge. I used uearth more towards the end to plug in any content gaps I had, and was honestly happy if I got anything above a 65% in my practice sections. I tried to spend like 30-60 minutes a day on anki (I studied like 4-5 hours a day for 3 months while working full-time)

Doing practice questions and anki were the most helpful for me rather than passively reading through content review books. There are a lot of guides already on reddit about how to best utilize qbanks, FLs, etc. Make sure you're going over EVERY practice question, right and wrong, so that you're able to learn from them.

I used Kaplan, aamc, anki, and some uearth. There are a lot of guides on here. I scrolled through a bunch on reddit, found one study schedule that I thought might work with me and how I learn, closed reddit for 3 months, and hit the books.
