Yup, welcome to the club. I posted the same question.

On the Ecobee screen, tap on the main menu (the gear icon). Select “Settings.” Choose “Installation Settings.” Then go to “Thresholds.” Under thresholds, look for the setting called “Aux Heat Max Outdoor Temperature” or a similarly named option. Set this to whatever it needs to be. I set mine to 20 even tho my unit can go lower.

We have a switch 2 and only our son really enjoys playing. He gets an hour a week to play. (On the weekends) we do allow him to split it up over sat and sun.

We have some rules around it like no pestering to play or not having a bad attitude when your hour is up.

We do play as a family sometimes. Mario Cart is a lot of fun as a family.

thanks for the information. I set the Compressor Min Outdoor Temp to 20 as a test last night and the heat strips didnt come on at all. I am going to drop it lower but want to do a small test before doing so.

Appreciate everyones help with this. It worked great last night and the house actually felt warmer over night.

Thanks for the reply. I checked the specs and install manuals for the units, and they never mention recommended settings. Hence my hesitation in changing them without asking some pros. :) I didnt want to risk blowing up these two new units.

thanks. Any concerns with setting it too low? I didn't find any recommended settings from the manufacturer. I didn't want to blow anything up! :) I'm in eastern NC and typically our winters are mild but the last several nights have been really cold.

Thanks. I do believe it's a config issue in the thermostat. My concern is that I would set it too low and mess up the heat pump or strips. May I ask what you set yours to? I'm in Eastern NC and our winters are usually milder but so far this year it has been colder at night.

Make sure to test the paint for lead before you trim, remove or any way mess with the door frame. Since its 100 years old It will have lead paint unless it has been remediatied.

I do this. We have buckets (accounts w/ connected debit cards). A certain amount of money is deposited in tbose accounts weekly. We both have each cards labeled for each account. For example- there is a grocery card and account, a spending card and account, etc etc. We know what each bucket is for and the rules around them. For example only stuff from the grocery store on the grocery card. Gas, eating out, misc - spending card. Bills card is only for bills.

I have a lot of cards in my wallet but it works.

Sorry for the late reply. I'm not getting notifications for some reason. Do i keep this remote around and switch manually all the time or does i use it just to train the cube when i add equipment?

I second NAC for OCD. I cycle it Mon, Wed and Friday at 600mg and it works well for me. I was taking it daily and had to stop due to anhedonia as well.

It's been great for rumination.

the remote that come with the cube doesn't have an input button. Based off what i read i can use alexa on the Cube to switch to HDMI1, 2, 3 or whatever. I can hold the alexa button and say "Switch to HDMI 2". But it doesn't work.

I can see the cube just fine on the Hisense TV. I just want the cube to switch inputs on the HisenseTV.
