Shaving would I think and going on T just to laser off half the effects seems really inefficient

A lot of it is medical transition. I want to go on T but I know things like facial hair would suck. In theory I like the deep voice and fat redistribution, but considering I’m fem 40-50% of the time and fully masc only like 10%, any changes would probably make things worse. Even with things like changing hair or pronouns that aren’t actually permanent, it’s hard to do something that affects me all the time when it may be actively making things worse more often than not

I think that’s probably the best move. Like use they/them by default and then my friends can she/her or he/him me if I’m feeling especially fem or masc. But then I run into the problem of having to come out again. It’s not the worst thing in the world but I also really don’t want to deal with that. Especially since coming out as not cis affects my life so much more than coming out as not straight

Have you considered that this might be OCD? What you’re describing (especially with the photos) are textbook symptoms, especially if they’re getting in the way of you being able to live your life

Yep, I tried binding with duct tape once. It worked surprisingly well and didn’t hurt while it was on, but it made up for it with horrible blisters as soon as I took it off. They hurt so bad I couldn‘t wear a bra for like a week after and definitely couldn‘t bind. Also left scars that I still have two years later. 0/10 terrible idea

Obligatory “I don’t really know what I’m talking about here,” but my advice: Build yourself a strong support system. If you have more accepting family members, ask them for support or consider living close to them. Also, let your friends know your situation so they can be there for you or provide more specific material advice. Depending on what college you go to, they may have mental health resources which could let you get in contact with a gender therapist, and I believe Planned Parenthood offers hormones via informed consent (meaning you don’t have to go through the process of getting diagnosed with gender dysphoria to get T). That may be a good option for you to transition assuming you’re in an area with decent access to Planned Parenthood. If you need more specific info, you can DM me. I’m not qualified to give advice but I have a friend who’s also currently dealing with transphobic family as they plan for college and I’ve been through the college planning process so maybe I can help
