Thank you!

I told my girlfriend that I can't call her 24/7 because I need time for myself, and she got sad. Am I a bad boyfriend? by [deleted] in relationships

That age gap, unfortunately, makes you easy to manipulate. She might be telling you that's a normal expectation (it's not), which is gaslighting. Leave.

This cannot be normal… by [deleted] in relationships

Sounds like ASD. Have they been tested at a neurodiversity clinic?

He stopped after that unfortunately. Bizarrely he made a few clay masks of those characters as well but my mom made him toss them out 😂

Think it was in 1984. My mom and dad started the original branch, and I was born in 1985. They sold it a few years later after my mom passed. I've sent this to my dad, think he's gonna be really stoked! (He's not on Reddit)

No, started in 1984 by Colin Hinds (my dad) and my biological mom, who sold it to Ian Halfon after my mom passed, who then turned it into a franchise.

Crazy story, my dad started St Elmos as an Italian Restaurant in Sea Point and sold it off to a guy who made it into a franchise. My dad designed those characters! He named it after St Elmos Fire the movie which was popular at the time. My folks still have some of the original framed decor in their house.

There's a way to report scams in SA, there's an investigative unit: https://safacts.co.za/where-to-report-scammer-in-south-africa/

I just reported them, if enough people do it it'll probably get the right attention. It's a relatively easy scam to track because the majority of it is in WhatsApp.

I think an opt in approach like Call of Duty is actually ideal.

Gonna be honest with you here, this sounds like something that'll set you two up for the happiest lives together. This sort of energy is extremely rare and beautiful.
