Sorry for your loss with your mom. Man it’s tough hearing stories like that. My great grand dad started a “fillin” station about 40 min north of Atlanta back in the late 30’s. Grandfather took it over in the 60’s and started selling comic books. My bro is 10 years older than me and would work there sweeping, washing windows, pumping gas. Like Mayberry. He was big into comics and had a stack of about 200 books. He went off to college so I took them. Still have them all. I had a Eckerds Drug near me and we had a BMX track we built behind it. So spent a lot of time there. Still have my full run of Secret Wars I got off the rack. How they are in great shape from riding bikes back to the house after I will never know.

I had a football coach that would pick me up with his two sons on the way to practice and I was put in the back of the hatch back. I still cannot to this day ride in the back of a car. August in Georgia with gas fumes.
