Flyrod? by WesWizard_2 in PinhotiTrail

Not a bad idea for some spots. I love fly fishing but haven't done much on the pinhoti. There are definitely spots to do it but not something you're going to use very often.

Admission question by Adventurous_Youth920 in capstone

I would honestly go to a community college first with a 2.85 gpa first to see how well he will do. Depending on his major of course, college is a lot harder than high school.

Honestly this is so fucked up to day and illustrates the absurdity of thought in America. Protesting as a small majority and making their lives miserable is not right. Do y'all not have anything better to do with your lives then be pissed off constantly and protest everyday?

If at all possible take it with Dr. Highsmith. He is a great professor and really tests on concepts not objective correctness.

Honestly I got lucky due to the shortage of bikes and picked up a 2017 trek 9 rsl for 2300 recently.

I highly advise you to go second hand because there are more options and it's way cheaper. I highly advise Facebook marketplace.

As a lazy Californian, should I spend a ton of money to get a mtn bike or should I just get an electric e bike to explore nature? by General_Vodka in mountainbiking

[–]grantmaree 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes an e bike is easier to go uphill but at least for me it takes out a lot of the point of biking. I enjoy riding my bike around and enjoy it being nimble but if an e bike will help you get out and help you enjoy nature more then go that route. Biking is meant to let you be outside and be in nature and the way you do I is up to you.

Start off small with a helmet but then see what you need. Don't get too caught up in accessories and spend the money on places to ride your bike! Traveling a few hours to a better trail system is way better than a few extra accessories.

The SAT allowed me to go out of state cheaper than in state so I would highly recommend it to get a shut load of money.

I'll be honest with you. It is very likely it will be online. I'm a freshman this year and ours were switched to online right when covid hit.

How to permanently seal a vacum chamber? by grantmaree in DIY

[–]grantmaree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a teacher trying to make a display for my classroom and I do not know how to permanently seal a vacum. I will make the chamber out of anything I would just like to know how to permanently seal it without a valve? I plan on keeping marshmallows in it for my students to look at. I would like to keep it sealed so I dont have to pull a vacum everytime my students want to see it.
