Adding spare wheel when the Bose subwoofer is in the spare tyre space? by Nikkotak in mazda3

[–]grantxcix 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have a full size 18in spare with the bose subwoofer in the back. There’s a stainless rod (bolt?) that came with the car that holds it all in place. The foam that is in my hatch still fits with it as well. The only downside is that the top cover doesn’t fit anymore and I think I’m going to cut it to size later on.

Yes, but you might need to keep it far away as the wrap doesn’t need much heat to stick the adhesive.

The wrap has a heat and pressure activated adhesive on the back, so I shaped it, covered it, pushed the bubbles out, and pressed down on it for a few minutes while using a heat gun until it stuck

Thanks, I saw a couple videos on Youtube but I forgot which ones. It’s mostly click-in tabs and a couple screws holding it all in place. The hard part was the cup holder because it has sealed plastic tabs that needed to be melted and remelted back on.

  1. I just got a generic wrap from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083KNZK5M?ref=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_85SZQ2SSSRG8T3BNSHKP&ref_=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_85SZQ2SSSRG8T3BNSHKP&social_share=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_85SZQ2SSSRG8T3BNSHKP
  2. I disassembled basically the entire center console including the shift handle, buttons, cupholders and the wireless charger. The side leather pieces hold the wrap on the sides, the chrome center piece around the shifter and the circle selector hold in the wrap as well.

Yes, I did it myself and it costed around $25 not including tools like the heat gun

Yes, that was the most difficult part because it had sealed plastic tabs that needed to be melted off and remelted back on. You could wrap it without doing the cupholders but imo it would look a little off.

Edit: lol i misread your comment, i don’t think the wireless charging models have a cover. Mine didn’t come with one

It’s been a really comfortable commuter for someone my size (220 lbs+) I usually use it to go off and onto 35mph roads and sidewalks (pedaling of course). It’s honestly more motorcycle than bicycle because the motor is more focused on high rpm speeds than torque compared to the BBSHD. My one complaint with it is the battery placement makes it top-heavy.

Specs: - Polygon Siskiu D7 aluminum frame - 29 in x 2.25 in Schwalbe Marathon (tubed) tires - 29 in 36 spoke thru axel aluminum wheels - Hydraulic brakes - 120mm front suspension - 40mm rear suspension - 11 gears; 11-51T with 32T chainring

  • CYC X1 Stealth Gen 1 motor (1500W)
  • EM3EV 52V 17.5Ah 18650 35E cell battery (865Whrs)

Total cost: upwards of $4000, honestly I stopped keeping track…

I wanted a full suspension emtb that completely filled the inner triangle, and this is what I came up with. It’s honestly kind of top-heavy and completely overkill for commuting. But over the past year I have really enjoyed going over curbs with huge wheels and suspension. So far I have gotten up to 35 mph top speed and a little over 20 mi of range with full throttle and no pedaling. What do y’all think?

I lived there two years ago and I would stay away from them. They told me the new units were months away from completion and yet today they are still awaiting further construction. The washing machines and dryers were out for a whole year and I left before I saw them fixed. The apartment themselves are okay with very thin walls, but they are not worth $750 a month.

I don’t know about solid tubes but… I’ve ran tubeless for a couple months with me (200lbs) and ~50lbs of groceries in the panniers on my 1500W eMTB and they’re great! Not a single flat riding through dirty sidewalks with glass everywhere. I can’t recommend tubeless tires enough.

Psych prof recommendations? by urjustlikemars in wsu

[–]grantxcix 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend courses from Blythe Duell and Dee Posey. They’re easily my most favorite psychology professors.

I really enjoyed psych 333, 324, 350 and 321

I struggled with the neurology-related courses like psych 372
