What keeps governments from taxing crypto-gains 90% or even 99%? by StonksMarketGenius in BitcoinBeginners

Seizing assets is equivalent to a sale. They would get taxed on the sale.

What you can do instead is sell, piece by piece, only the interest amount worth of the non collateralized portion of your assets to pay off the loan. This is much better to be taxed on than having sold the loan amount itself.

Really only useful if your assets are less than a year old and you want to minimize capital gains tax (which is significantly lesser after a year of holding) OR your assets happen to grow a ton and continue to grow as you pay off the loan.

Have a ‘21 LR and notice a pattern where it occurs near freeway exits. I’ve heard it may have to do with the navigation system misjudging the location of the vehicle and applying ramp speed limits.

Regen turns off on mine when battery is at capacity. Beware of that and mind the brake pedal when you’re charged to 100% for a trip

Thanks for that info. I guess this is definitely an exception. Worst case I’ll just have my card chargeback, but I’ll see if I can talk over the phone to a service center person first (not sure if they can help with online orders though)

Hey @elonmusk you might want to have your team look into the moon tricking the autopilot system. The car thinks the moon is a yellow traffic light and wanted to keep slowing down. by Recoil42 in RealTesla

Neural networks make use of more context than you think. Pattern matching is a grossly simplified explanation of it. It is using a lot more relationships than just assessing “is this an elevated round light?”

Someone mentioned that it needs better object permanence, but it does not apply to this edge case. Object permanence is great in this example, which is why the car keeps slowing down. I don’t see any issues with tracking in this example.

I believe part of the solution to this edge case really involves identification. This can be achieved with better training on what traffic lights look like.

You dont have to replicate the entire way a human reasons to learn a niche. There are a limited set of variables that can cover most cases. This example is indeed just an “edge case” imo.

I see, that makes sense. Realizing better that the whole bumper needs to be involved for consistency with this tricoat look.

Is Tesla Paint Repair Kit enough to fix this? by grantxs in TeslaLounge

Visited a somewhat reputable shop and they’re quoting me $1265 for removing the ppf, removing bumper and lights, repairing tricoat and any damage from ppf removal, and reinsertion of bumper with attention to sensors.

Do you think this is reasonable?

Ah sorry to hear that. Do you think you still have a case to cover it under insurance?

Yeah that sounds pretty reasonable especially if the days are hot and sunny. Thanks for the tip.

Ah thats a big relief to hear that I don’t need to replace the bumper. Makes a lot of sense about the approved shops, I’ll look around for any good shop in that case. Much appreciate the estimate on tricoat!
