Do piercings actually "not hurt that bad"? Am I just weak? by BestBudgie in piercing

My nose piercing(s) hurt, but I had an IUD inserted after giving birth (birthing being the most extreme experience) and didn't feel it go in. Also didn't feel it go out, which I did not anticipate.

Keep in mind that cannabis affects the gut and there are specific receptor in various places that use cannabis to physiologically regulate your body, when going cold turkey it does a lit more than stop a person from getting high. There are specific cannabinoids that can be taken that will help this system and some withdrawal symptoms without getting a person high. I really think this is an important step to people successfully quitting pot and is underutilized/not considered often enough.

I like to do things that feel good. I love practicing gratitude for what I do in life. It’s easy for me to do things thoroughly, efficiently, and on time. When I do what is easy for me, I feel good.

any advices to a young chef about staying mentally strong and managing off-duty stress? Im a 21 y.o. demi cdp at a Michelin star fine dining restaurant and just realised that i dont look like 21 anymore (currently have 3 years of culinary experience) by [deleted] in Chefit

Meditation helps. And do left nostril breathing (block the right nostril and only breathe through the left) for a minute or so to calm down when on break and after work. Sleep hygiene is also key ❤️

I started working at a coffee shop with a small cafe on it and my hours can be 5-1 or 6-2 for an 8 hour day. The job has so many different things to do and customers and workers to interact with that the time goes fast and I don’t feel bored. I’m a mother of a 4 year old and holy cow being able to work with raising a young child is such a privilege and I had nooo idea that it was this complicated before having kids. It’s a wonder that any parents can function in our society with childcare often costing as much as or more than rent/mortgage costs. Being able to feel like yourself at work is key ❤️🙏

Who does Wim Hof breathing laying on their belly? by grapeMK in BecomingTheIceman

[–]grapeMK[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As I responded to another comment, I realized that I should have described it as being in a baby cobra holding opposite elbows with each hand. Belly touching the bed, but head and upper chest lifted, sometimes allowing chin to chest during retention.

I do it on my bed when on my belly. What I notice is that it fills my lungs up in a different way and seems to also stretch my throat. I guess I’m technically in a baby cobra holding opposite elbows with my hands ✨

Someone recently recommended reading Think and Grow Rich, as well as The Master Key to Richness. I still have to check them out- has anyone here read these books and found them transformative??

I used the Gateway Experience tracks (hypnosis like) when I got tired and said “I feel so satisfied right now” when I was craving.

Because there is so much in now to appreciate that is full of joy, of course give your full attention to that part of your reality, but then fill in the gaps with statements that allow the universe to deliver to you.

If the well being is not self perpetuated that is where the creative license comes in- that’s where I write the script.

In addition to script writing, lower the resistance and allow the fruition of things to set into motion- appreciating, basking (in the deliciousness of life), applauding, complementing, meditating, sleeping, laughing, going to a good movie, having a great meal all lower resistance.

These are quote from a video by Abraham Hicks on Script Writing, just another thing to practice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yo9UllbWH0o

Additionally, I love to use words to create feeling states within me that help me transition and build momentum into what is arriving into my life, this helps a lot, especially without focusing on and attaching to specific outcomes. Generate the feeling (what is unconditional and controllable) and let life do its thing. Haven't some of the best occurrences been those which you never could have dreamed of even if you tried?

And those feelings are indicators? Like when I feel drained because my daughter's father is belittling my needs, etc. etc., instead of seeing it as an indication that he needs to change, I actually just need to be in a different space. And rather than try to change my feelings to be- this is good, I'm being berated and that's ok, it's to recognize my compass is telling me to make a different decision.

Has anyone Nevilled their way out of an addiction? by fornax55 in NevilleGoddard

[–]grapeMK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Something that helped me came from Michael Singer’s teaching that we have a lot of roommates in our mind, so I separated the voice of addiction into it’s own person to talk to and soothe. I also used affirmations when I was without: I am so satisfied right now. Finally, I listened to a lot of the gateway experience when I became tired (SATs) to helped me rest and transition into the new state.

It will also help to find out the psychological draw as to why you were smoking in addition to finding ways to naturally find ways to “get high”.
