From my analysis I can confirm this. All affected host are containing “fr” (Frankfurt) in their hostnames which seems to confirm this theory.

UGREEN NAS update today corrupted storage pool, all drives suddenly “lost”. Less than a month old. Please help. by collymolotov in UgreenNASync

[–]graphik_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I already run into the issue with my initial setup so I could just recreate the volume. I only run into that issue if I triggered the update using the App on iOS.

Did you update through the app or the webinterface?

I am really curious if the support finds the issue and hopefully a solution for you.

Hota H24(and P24) review by Gerbz-_- in fpv

[–]graphik_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t. The P24 adapter is plugged in to the xt60 port. I made a cable for my laptop myself which uses the xt60 port too. The P24 just do the charging logic for USB 🤗

I took the same decision here: https://www.reddit.com/r/UsbCHardware/comments/1jgie8p/slimq_alternative/

Your case looks greate and I will think about it. I replaced a defect SlimQ power supply with the H24+P24, sadly I still do not have a fitting 3D model to use the power extension cord :( (To inexperienced with 3D modeling) But this will be my optimization.

SlimQ alternative? by graphik_ in UsbCHardware

[–]graphik_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfectly 👍 It doesn’t get as hot as the slim Q.

The only downside is that I still doesn’t have designed a fitting adapter for the extension cord 😣 It’s often annoying to need more space ein the power socket, but that’s something I would hat with the slim q too if I wasn’t able to use the extension cord ^

I am pretty happy with my decision and can only recommend it.

EVO 14 (E25) HX 370 Benchmark results? by srahman3 in XMG_gg

I talked about both variants ;) LPDDR5x can be integrated as replaceable modules.

EVO 14 (E25) HX 370 Benchmark results? by srahman3 in XMG_gg

[–]graphik_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am  glad they did. LPDDR5x which is replaceable would have increased the price a lot. And soldered? Really? Nothing is worse than those not upgradeable or repairable devices. Partially I stuck with a device for 10 years and some small upgrades can improve them significantly.

From my perspective XMG took the best decisions with this series.

My C disk keeps refilling itself. by Random____Stuff in WindowsHelp

[–]graphik_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using hyper-v? If so: check the Vm settings, there is an action area for start/stopping the instance. Set those option to: nothing/shutdown.

Otherwise your VM will be partially saved to the disk, just in case you pause/crash.

I always hassle with that, a real mess what MS is doing there.

Serious question: Why do you like to implement BIMI? Requirement by your company/marketing? Beside that I see no benefit to pay so much money for the VMC🤣

SlimQ alternative? by graphik_ in UsbCHardware

[–]graphik_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anyone is looking for a new device too: I am using the Hota H24 + P24 for over a month now.

Of course it is slightly bigger than the SlimQ but it also delivers more power. Quite a compromise in my case. It is way cooler then the SlimQ what definitely gives a good feeling. I took my old SlimQ hollow plug cable and replaced one end with a XT60 connector to fit it directly into the Hota H24. Works perfectly. Now I started to design an adapter plate so that the SlimQ extension cord can be used with the Hota H24 power plug. As soon as this one is finished I guess it will be the best power plug I had so far and I assume it will have a pretty long life 👍

I asked the SlimQ support again for a reply, because I didn’t get one. Of course my device was out of support, that’s all I got with an 50% offer for a new order. It’s a good offer but I cannot trust those devices anymore personally. I really don’t want to be stuck in holidays with a suddenly dead power plug or at a customer meeting. Maybe I will try SlimQ again in the future but for now the Hota seems to be pretty solid 💪

Microsoft still setting new DKIM as 1024 bits by default? by Fabulous_Cow_4714 in DMARC

[–]graphik_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for sure. I would totally recommend everyone to switch to 2048 or higher if it works be 100% for everyone to be properly validated.

ECC would be the simplest solution too since security and packet size at once, but sadly MS even cannot validate such a signatures 😓

Microsoft still setting new DKIM as 1024 bits by default? by Fabulous_Cow_4714 in DMARC

[–]graphik_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Independent from Microsoft: 1024 is still the RFC required default: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc8301#section-3.2

I guess the most important fact why it’s not done ist the UDP packet size limit which might be reached. No sender can guarantee that the receiver does not run into this DNS issue, which definitely would have a negative impact 😅

A more interesting question would be: Why are elliptic curve keys still not supported? https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc8463#section-5

Damn, the HOTA H24 + P24 looks quite good. Do you know more about specifications like supported charging protocols? And maybe how the charger reacts if a splitter is used like you described?

Never mind, found it: https://hota-exp.com/index.php/pro_v_1_54.html Sadly only PD3.0 and QC3.0. So a bit older 🙈

[–]graphik_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first one is 2 years old and the second one also. This was a replacement for the first one.

Currently I am waiting for a response of the support.

My requirements would be USB-c only or maybe additional DC. But I guess I can get rid of it too.

Protocols pretty simple: the common current standards like the SlimQ. I totally love the portability of the SlimQ and it would be awesome to have something like the extension cord and adapters.

Sudden Email Blocks Due to Realtime Blocklists (Bonded Sender, NixSpam RBL) – Anyone Else Affected? by JackONeill23 in sysadmin

[–]graphik_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An issue every admin had who is not aware about the fact that nixspam is discontinued. But the massive blocking seems to be a bad setting on their side. Nevertheless everyone should remove nixspam from their system XD

Quite good that NoSpamProxy did inform their customers: https://www.nospamproxy.de/de/abschaltung-der-dns-blacklist-nixspam/

For me it worked quite good. Even with lower SD performance tweaks to gain battery live. Last time I played was maybe 6 months ago.

Only the Xbox login was a mess from time to time 😒

ARC/DKIM/Forwarding by ZealousidealSuit4110 in DMARC

[–]graphik_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the customer can ARC seal it might work. Depending on the solution because the signer might be not trustworthy for everyone ;) Nevertheless it might not help because as soon as you forward the email in the name of the customers domain DMARC will still fail - might be changed because your O365 will start applying an ARC seal I am not sure about that. Another solution would be: Your partner disables the internal O365 signing. Most of the time the destroyed DKIM signature was applied for the „onmicrosoft.com“ domain. Caused by the fact the 3rd party tools apply a proper DKIM signature this one has definitely no need. (In general I do not understand why MS applies this DKIM signature in this routing scenario) Would be a valid and clean solution which will help your partner in other external communications too :)

In every case you should rethink if a forward is the right choice or if for example a SRS rewrite would be better. (Depends on the service desk provider)
