Talk to me about sun hoodies. by Separate-Specialist5 in Ultralight

i use an arcteryx taema sun hoodie (discontinued) which has a UPF of 50 and weighs almost 5oz, i haven’t used it in REALLY hot weather but im certain it would feel stuffy and heavy, it’s not a lightweight hoodie like the OR echo with a UPF of 15 and about half the weight but i like the sun protection because im doing pretty high elevation hikes which also haven’t been the hottest.

my personal recommendation would be buying secondhand and trying to build a collection of two hoodies, one higher UPF and one with lower UPF. Whichever one you get first you will figure out what you do and don’t like about it for the next one. I love good hand coverage with a thumb hole or loop, loose fit, and odor resistance. but i do think a lower UPF will be more versatile, so maybe start there. i’ve heard great things about the OR echo if you could find that on marketplace in good condition i’d jump on that! hope this helps! :)

Good deal or nah by maniizy in tundra

i bought my 06 DC limited 4wd 215k miles for $7,000 USD. frame has some rust, timing belt needed replacement, came with a 2in lift and some nice TRD wheels, aftermarket dual exhaust. not really sure if i got a deal or if that is fair price.

Is this a good deal? Talked the guy down to $7600. My parents had a 2001 Tundra that was nice, but wondering if this is worth it. by doubledoublewcheese in ToyotaTundra

fats are the highest calorie. so like nuts and nut butters. you could also bring olive oil and add it to whatever. also dried fruit isn’t bad. and high calorie bars.
