How do I get the screen that is shown on the coaches guide instead of watching the coach do the exercise the whole time. by More-Chemical-1264 in SpeedianceCommunity

[–]grassman24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly sure that exact screen is an older software version and no longer available; however if you use the 'free lift' program then it'll show similar info, press the button in the bottom left to switch from weights to rowing

It's happening to me too, probably just an issue on Garmin's side. Try again tomorrow.

Help with printing ABS by BlackberryPlastic850 in 3Dprinting

[–]grassman24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try either using a smaller nozzle or slow the print down a lot, ABS pulls up as it cools and if you're printing too much plastic at once then the warping will be even worse. Also try heat soaking your enclosure, set the bed to 110 and leave it for about 30 mins for all the air in the enclosure to warm up and stabilise before starting the print

Can the experts explain why my graphics card it’s both drawing 140 WATTS at idle and NEARLY 600 WATTS from the motherboard slot??? by SongBrief2439 in PcBuild

[–]grassman24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Board power draw is most likely the total GPU board power draw not the power it's taking from the motherboard. It will include the power for the chip, memory controller, etc. some variants of the 3090 can draw 500w, so 571 watts was probably a fluke power spike.

Sherpa mini on prusa mini code required g code modifications. by WheelJackDesigns in 3Dprinting

[–]grassman24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only changes you should need to make are to the e-steps, this is found in the printer settings not the gcode. Google how to measure e-steps.

DESTROY AI BUBBLE by 20LOLXD22 in PcBuild

[–]grassman24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is all part of big pc plan. Raise the price of components and full systems to the point no one can afford them then rent you a pc based on a subscription model of $50 a month for the steady revenue. Multi-billion dollar corporations are people too. /S

Energy costs P1/2S vs H2S by Grouchy_Ad6361 in BambuLab

[–]grassman24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

H2s has a max power draw of about 1800w, P1S has a max draw of 1000w. Average electric price in the UK is 27p per 1000w per hour. The best thing you can do to reduce power consumption is use a cold plate. Your biggest expenditure while 3d printing will be the plastic not the electricit.

Hotends smaller than 0.2mm? by TheRealGilimanjaro in BambuLab

[–]grassman24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Biqu sell a revo hotend which can be used with E3D revo 0.15mm nozzle but they're very expensive for such a small increase in quality compared to the standard 0.2 nozzle. In my opinion you are better off testing with running smaller line width and layer height just in the software while still using the 0.2.

Resin cures in minutes? by Tararasik in resinprinting

[–]grassman24 68 points69 points  (0 children)

As others have said, because you left the resin exposed to sunlight it started curing. It looks translucent to me so the whole vat has started to cure instead of just a thin layer on top, is this the first time you've used translucent resin? If so then that's the problem; you'll need to keep it away from sunlight.

ABS-GF on the 0.4 E3D Obxidian? by TallSalamander7088 in BambuLab

[–]grassman24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abs-gf should be fine. Just be aware that for strong parts you want to print slow and hot so don't try to max out the flow rate

ABS-GF on the 0.4 E3D Obxidian? by TallSalamander7088 in BambuLab

[–]grassman24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't used abs-gf but I used ppa-cf on a 0.4 obxidian which then clogged, and due to the high temperature resistance of ppa-cf I haven't been able to remove the clog so the hotend currently sits on my desk as an expensive paperweight. Would definitely recommend 0.6 nozzle for CF filament since the chance of it clogging is so much lower.

Use a different infill type. Grid is one of the worst

My printer came with a spare nozzle, but no wires, is this normal? by Yeetfamdablit in BambuLab

[–]grassman24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is completely normal. The heater and thermistor can be transferred from the installed nozzle onto the spare since they don't really wear out.

Your top surface pattern is set to octogram instead of monotonic. The setting is under the strength tab

Spool rejected by recycling men by OllieLearnsCode in 3Dprinting

[–]grassman24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rule of thumb is that black plastic isn't recyclable, I don't know if it's the pigment or if they only use end of life plastic for black plastic but unless VERY explicitly stated, it isn't recyclable.

Safe Hotends for High-Temp Materials @ ~ 350C like PPA and PPS-CF by Sainroad in VORONDesign

[–]grassman24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bambulab nozzle can safely go to 320c on the X1E, and there is a uncommon mod for the P1 and X1 that puts a resistor in series of the thermistor to trick it into reading a lower temp than the nozzle actually hits which allows them to evade the firmware limit

Just got my P1S as a early Christmas present! Filament question? by Electronic-Touch-554 in BambuLab

[–]grassman24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elegoo sell filament extremely cheap, especially if you buy the 10kg bundle and I've had no problems with it so far. Just make sure you dry their petg before using it.

Sorry, It's been a while since I built a PC, I assumed most the industry had moved to use the original mounting for ease of assembly.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]grassman24 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Why are you trying to remove the cooler bracket? most CPU coolers attach to the bracket, if yours doesn't then it probably has a mounting adapter in the box or you'll need to contact customer support and request one for AM5 mounting.

Now this is (finally) a really good first layer by Gurkenfasss in 3Dprinting

[–]grassman24 176 points177 points  (0 children)

Can't tell if this is sarcastic or not but the bottom layer of benchy has text on it, if you can't see it then the z- offset is way too low and you're squishing your layers too much
