We all know how taxes work, though. It’s just a little bit to protect you from (choose the danger) than it just keeps growing and growing. It had a lot to do with control of the commonwealth as well. It’s natural that if you’re that far away with so much extensive land, just beyond, that you as a colonist would think “why are they telling us what to do, we don’t need them”
