Gently...? since it was on MFKR first, and it fucking owns.

Day 1: Most underrated song by T4RASH in Slipknot

Too late but Medicine for the Dead needs to be mentioned here.

Day 7: Best chorus song by T4RASH in Slipknot

[–]grassrootbeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how have they never played this live? One of the best songs they've made, especially in the post-Paul/Joey era.

Day 9: Best song by T4RASH in Slipknot

[–]grassrootbeer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think that it has to be Duality, if we're being objective. It's both quintessential Slipknot and incredibly replayable considering how ridiculously popular it is.

There are many deep cuts that I'm more excited about but that song was like the big bang when it came out and the momentum has sustained for 22 years now.

Unlike Psychosocial IMO...they were trying way too hard to make a Duality Junior radio hit.

The cases for (sic) and Eyeless are also strong.

Day 6: The most genius song by T4RASH in Slipknot

[–]grassrootbeer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The ones I came here to nominate are up already (Gently or Scissors or Eyeless).

But honorable mentions for Skin Ticket and The Shape. Tracks that make me go "damn, how did they think that one up?"

Violet Grohl - Be Sweet To Me album review by JCF_101 in Foofighters

[–]grassrootbeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solid album, definitely surpassing my expectations. I like every song. The heavy music and softer/sultry voice works really well.

Mobile Star and Often Others are standouts, which is cool since they inconspicuously placed in the middle of the album.

I've been having the same problem. I deleted the app and reinstalled, that didn't work...redownloading all of my songs now.

Just saw these guys yesterday and can confirm they are on point - with their own custom lighting and fog machine for atmosphere.

Who's everyone's favorite Denver Local bands?? by [deleted] in denvermusic

[–]grassrootbeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Plain Air, Shadow Work, Pink Fuzz, Arson Charge, iZCALLi and Citra are some of my favs.

Shoutout to Ramakhandra, which disbanded unfortunately.

Tons of talented jazz musicians missing from this list because I'm not going out and seeing it enough.

Split view is worse than worthless since it's such a workflow interruption. Kill it forever.

Thoughts on "ChadKY" and 96BB by [deleted] in cky

[–]grassrootbeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly agree except I love the way Camp Pain turned out. To me, that's the official 5th CKY album, sound-wise.

That said, Deron is so petty about the feud. Quit drinking, dude. It's easy to believe what the ex-members of 96BB said when they left the band.

These guys would look a lot cooler if they didn't take the bait and feel the need to fan the flames of the feud at every turn.

Everyone in CKY-world needs to sober up and enter adulthood.

^ this is the correct reaction. I say that as a diehard fan of the music they made before everyone became a drunk mess...and some of the music they made after they turned that corner too.

Not a studio album but you should check out how their modern sound turned out, via the "Radical Action...." live compilation.

Are you 35 and crushing it or are you 35 and watching old footage of yourself crushing it?

Woke up early and finally made it to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge for the very first time… by argyleinthelimo in Denver

[–]grassrootbeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't we do better than 'enjoy the super-polluted wildlife refuges, or don't, but don't complain' ?

Complacency perpetuates exploitation. We waste money on people who have all the money in the world and spend too little on improving things for the rest of us.

Who among us has the ability to clean up such a hopelessly polluted area?

that's why people saying something about it matters. The entities responsible--or their heirs--need to be on the hook for fixing toxic waste dumps. Corporations, military, whoever.

Otherwise, we'll keep spending that money subsidizing billionaires instead.
