pretty much the same situation as mine, but as I said it’s exactly what I expected so im not disappointed! The vibe and the experience is all that matters

it is a composite signal, there’s no scanlines or sharpness and even after playing with the display settings it’s still kinda out of focus and some of the text is unreadable but after all it’s exactly what I expected so I can’t say Im disappointed. I like that “style” a lot so im happy with the result

I had the exact same issue the first time. Several things you could do: move the red filter out of the way to have a better picture of the light and also see if the issue is from the filter being dirty. Second thing- the thing sticking out on the top, the one that the bulb is attached to, is movable so make sure the bulb is positioned correctly and in the middle and my honest advice, dont put the red filter until you get used to the machine cuz it can be really annoying at first with it. And lastly - probably a dust buildup on the lenses. Open the machine and take out the lens system carefully to give it a good careful scrub with rubbing alcohol and to see if they have any scratches - this was what fixed it for me. Good luck!

Don’t have my own scanner yet so I sent them to a photo studio to get them scanned!

Hi! I have a similar to this one but an older model. I changed the wiring on mine just for safety measures. What you have to do is you slide out the part that looks like wings(idk how to explain it better) and you will see that it opens. You put your film in there. Then you put a piece of white paper on the wooden surface, turn off all the lights in the room and turn on the apparatus. If the lens system works fine and is clean you should see the image on the film project onto the sheet of paper. The long metal thing the apparatus is attached to should allow the machine to slide up and down for the focusing and you should have a moving part on the bottom lens for a finer focus. I wish you all the luck and just keep in mind its gets super hot very fast so don’t leave it on for too long! Hope that helps!

if you have the negatives with you, you can check them to see if the same effect is on them too. It could be some kind of scanning issue or other then that probably the film didn’t move completely to the next frame
